I agree. I doubt it has much to do with the PA being in Canada. It could be possible that the NDVO has hired more case processors recently or that CIC case processors in general have been instructed to process cases a little differently. I remember the immigration minister saying something about having learned something from processing so many syrian refugee cases in such a short amount of time and applying it to family class applications, but I haven't seen anything to confirm this has actually happened.

Either way, I'm optimistic that we may be seeing the start of faster processing times.

What I don't understand is, people at NDVO have been waiting for months and months, Last summers aplicants still haven't heard anything ya know? If they have a new way of doing things, shouldn't they clean up the backlogs first? I just know, If i was waiting for 8 months, and someone from 2 months ago gets DM, i would not be a happy camper.

I know, it's not fair. I don't know why they are still processing applications out of order if my theory is even the case. With Ottawa it isn't so noticeable because there really wasn't a huge backlog to begin with. It seems to be fairly caught up. I agree that they should take care of backlog before doing new applications.

It is quite unfair right... I heard your skills and field of studies or job is a factor so maybe people who are very needed in Canada get processed fastly..I'm not sure. I hope I'm needed in Canada. Suddenly I wish I was a scientist or medical expert or sth...

I really don't think that has much of an effect for family class spousal applications. What they care the most about is whether or not the relationship is genuine.

I am getting very antsy with all these DMs in the past couple weeks. Super exciting for everyone! I'm with Ottawa VO so I'm expecting DM this week or maybe next if it's in line with how other people's applications are going. Since more than half of the Ottawa applicants have had a DM already!

Do you guys think I should ask for notes if I don't see a DM this week? Or do you think that would still be too soon? I'm checking ECAS about 3x a day lol.

It wouldn't hurt to order notes. However, I wouldn't be surprised if your application takes a few weeks longer than expected, since it's still a little soon to tell if the super fast DMs are the new normal.

Maybe! My wife is here on visitors visa even before we put in her PR file.

Hi canadafsw2015,
Did you submit RPRF fee along with the application or you paid after receiving a separate request?

Hello,

I see few New Delhi applicants received their DM's past week. Has anyone received any e-mail from NDVO or any 4th line added?

SS

Hi, waiting for PPR over a week now. Got DM on may 2nd. :(

Could the reduced processing times be aligned with the Liberal's commitment to family reunification?

I imagine the Liberals want to show that they are achieving results and results that are much better than those of the Conservatives. Thus, they may be focusing their efforts on applications after October 2015, fair or not? Hence shrinking SA and DM times?

Anywho, just conjecture as I wait. By the way, I don't think the moon landing is legit... joking.

Hi guys,
Congrats to those who received DM's this weekend.

Wanted to ask you guys a question, the doctor that is allowed to do the medical exam where I live (only one doctor in the whole city) is asking me for the paper that the CIC sends me to retake my medical exams, I haven't been requested anything, should I just take my AOR2, which states that if I didn't send my medicals upfront that I should take them and explain to him that mine expired? I have my appointment on Saturday.

I don't know what to say...
Got DM today ..but no email from NDVO. Also, when i click on DM , shows the same 3 points as before.. WHAT DOES IT MEAN..? when'll I get PPR.?

I also haven't heard anything from CPC-Mississauga since AOR2. I am waiting for my notes as well - they will most likely arrive next month.

I just received a request for my husband to go to an interview in Warsaw in a month. He's here with me now, will have to fly back to Poland. Needless to say he's freaking out. Assuming this is the last step, and as long as the interview goes well, all should be fine. Anyone have any experience with this? Can we quit worrying and hope that it will be a quick interview with the results that day? He is really nervous....me too. Any suggestions most appreciated....

A lot of Jan and Feb 2016 applicants have got DM in the past 2-3 days, including me. A few of them got DMs last week and got PPR within 4-5 days. So just hold your horses tight and wait for the PPR email anytime in the Principal applicant's inbox
