Very strange indeed. Did they explain why they had called? As in, does this have anything to do with the delay of your SA?

That is strange, especially after all this time. Did the call help in any way? I hope it did and that you will get your SA soon.

Submitted my on Feb 2, got AOR2 April 7. Should i just wait?

If you got AOR2, then all you have left to do is wait :)

PR side changed to in-progress, I received SA on 31st March and the File is forwarded to New Delhi.

Now both Sponsor and PR side are In Progress, hoping to receive the AOR2 in a week or two.

No i haven't, good news for you, what were they asking you?

Yes I am the sponsor..

When she first said she is calling from the case processing centre mississauga I was suprised that they even make phone calls.. She first asked to make sure she is speaking to the right person by asking few security questions.. I had a feeling that its a spam call.. but then she asked me.. my dob and the name of the person i m sponsoring..

then she asked me about my file.. basically, there was a confusion about the right address.. my pay stubs had my old address.. my application had my current address.. and i also have a different mailing address.. so that created a confusion.. it was all cleared.. i asked is that the reason for the delay for SA.. she said yes.. and i asked her the current processing time shows 36 days.. why is it this long.. she said 36 days is just an average time.. not a deadline they have to meet..

She said I will hear abck from them in a few days about my SA.. she didnt confirm if its approved.. but she said i will hear back..

Just to be extra careful.. i called back that number in 30 mins.. she answered.. i said i was just making sure if its not spam.. she laughed and said its not.. its a usual process..

I m pretty sure it is not a spam call.. but i m still suprised..

Hey Guys, does anyone know if your ecas status gets updated with a 4th line when additional documents are requested?

Yes, if they request additional documents you will see a line added. For me my 3rd line was the request for documents, then my 4th line was "medicals received". Soon after that I got DM. I had waited two months with no 3rd line though.

Thanks for the info! May I ask, what kind of documents did they request?

They requested the Statutory Declaration of Common Law and it had to be notarized. I had to mail it because they needed the original document. It wasn't a required document on the check list, but I guess they needed it for more proof of Common Law. I received my DM I think around 2 weeks after I mailed it.

Wow that's so awesome! We were asked to submit more police records, the applicants birth certificate (again, we sent it with the original package back in Feb, not sure why they re-requested) and the FBI certificate. As soon as the FBI gets here (hopefully Monday. It was sent out on Wednesday) we are scanning everything and emailing it to our VO. They said they just want scans to avoid delays

I was also asked to re-send my husbands birth certificate, which I thought was strange but I'm glad to see it happened to someone else!

hope you get your COPR soon! may I ask, why did they want more police records? did you have any missing? Only asking because I'm going to have one missing but I'm including a detailed explanation as to why.
