I have sent my application February,09 2016 . Received by CIC on February,10 2016.
Let's play GAME OF WAIT...

Also Checked online they used to have table like working on application received on abc date.. I don't find that anymore... replace of that there is info like "Last update: February 9, 2016". What does it mean.?

My application was received at CPC Mississauga on Feb.10th 2016 it was signed by Falek in the mailroom. Today is just the 15th and it feels like forever...the waiting game is tougher than I thought!

From mailing our application how long will they email us that they have recieved our application?

From what is on the CIC website it says that if you are sponsoring a spouse living outside of Canada, the assessment of sponsor is 60 days.

Also on their website is this: How can I check if my application has been received?

If you mailed your application to CIC, you may wish to use a courier service that requires a signature when delivered, gives you a delivery confirmation and/or allows you to track your package. Please note that there may be a delay between the date CIC physically receives your application and the date it is opened. CIC cannot confirm that your application package has been received until it has been opened in our offices.

I sent my package on 11th February through FEDEX and it got delivered on 12th February(Signed by F. FALAH). Approximately how long does CIC takes to open the package? And do we get any updates from them if they opens it?

Give yourselves at least 2 months to hear something. I know it's hard but constant worrying makes the waiting painful. Mine was received on Feb 8, so I keep telling myself I should hear something early April.

That's the way I am looking at it as well, should hear back near the end of April beginning of May

In the meantime I am finishing up the undertaking applications for Québec. That will keep me busy.

If you use the UCI# or Application # that is assigned to your file that is on your AOR letter then you will use the sponsor's info when checking on ECAS.

You can find the forms online (Government of Québec website). They are all there, but you need to fill them out in French to submit. Wait for your letter from CIC to send them all in.
