It's weird they told you that because they can check your application.

Did you try to call them again? Sometimes it takes a couple phones calls till you get to talk with someone who really wants to help you. I had to deal with few rude CIC Agents.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. My emotions has been on a roller coaster since this morning on the phone. Despite there not being any reason I can imagine myself being ineligible to sponsor, my mind is just taking me to the worst circumstance.

Right now, I'm talking myself into believing that the agent had checked but there was nothing for him to even report to me, which is why he had to send a message. Unless of course, there's something seriously wrong with my application that he can't convey at this point..... :-\ :-\ :-\

That is incorrect - you are looking at the rate for January 2015. For January 2016, it is $275.

That is the correct procedure - it should be returned to you without them having processed it.

I hope that it does not cause too much of a delay for you.

So I just got off the phone with CIC, and they told me that I got SA today and that the email should follow soon. I'M SO HAPPY!
I will update here as soon as I get the confirmation. Hopefully everyone from the same timeline who is still waiting will get the same good news in the coming days!

I went on vacation last week and was expecting to come back and have an email requesting pictures in the new/correct format. But I had no news. I read someone else had incorrect documents and received the request instead of AOR, so as I got AOR I wonder if maybe it is VO that will ask for the correct photo format ? Anyway, hoping my file will move on. I did check my inbox/spam/junk a few time while on vacation.

I am also waiting for SA, app was received at 02-02-2016 and AOR was sent on 11th March, today I talked to CIC helpline and was told that application is still in process and I may expect some reply from Mississauga office anytime now. Today is the 57th day my app was received..

Hey Bob, same here - I received AOR1 on March 17th - despite two mistakes on my applications.

I used the old version of the country guide (India) and sent the incorrect picture format, also did not even write anything on the back of the pictures.

I also sent in the old version of IMM0008.

Hopefully, these are not reasons that our applications are delayed relative to others on this forum.

Hi adogtiger! I saw you on the Feb 2016 OUTLAND spreadsheet. Did you send your application directly to HKVO or Mississauga? Have you received SA yet? My timeline is similar to yours, I got SA today and was told my application got transferred to HKVO.

Just an update to let you know that I just received my AOR1

Application received: March 4, 2016
AOR1 received: March 30, 2016

So much faster than I expected!

Congrats! Awesome news. You can expect your SA approval within the next 7-10 days then your application will be forwarded to São Paulo. Great news.
