When I saw your post I was curious what OSI means, so I spent a long time searching. Found lots of Immigration documents which spell out many different acronyms but not OSI.
Is your file in Ottawa? There was a special effort started in July to catch up on the backlog, and some files were chosen to go to Ottawa for processing instead of overseas. As far as I know it was the easier files which had fast results which Ottawa was processing. So I'm really just grasping at straws when I'm thinking Ottawa Special Initiative.
It could be anything, and their coding doesn't mean that each letter corresponds to a word. So I really don't know, couldn't find it anywhere.

Thank you so much Brethany, your search skills are better than mine:), much appreciated.
I ll give you more insight - We are doing Outland, Ankara is the VO, spouse's country of residence is different from the VO. We are Feb 2016 applicants, in our first notes In October, the last line of the notes read Please request Passport(dated 23rd Aug) further more we even see Printing queue, visa expiry date issue date, copr issue date etc..
After that we did another notes and a case specific inquiry too(to which i am still awaiting response it's been 10 days).
Now coming back to your findings, OSI Otawa Special Initiative does make sense per se but i am unable to connect the dots w.r.t our case. Because ideally we should have gotten the PR email like right in the August last week or maximum in the month of September, so if this is OSI is to put us on fast track, i guess we are better off on normal :(...
My logic was, since my spouse's country of residence is different of VO that's why this is some special case and OSI may stand for Overseas Issuance..(i know it does not make sense) but that's the best logic I could come up with...
Bon, je te remercie beacoup pour ta rechereche! Fais-moi signe si tu trouves qqch... je te tiens au courant!

We are still waiting too!

Waiting as well...apparently they have lost our medical results forcing us to potentially redo them for a THIRD time.

This makes me sad :'(

Thanks Mega, our medical expired on dec 7 and when we received our latest Notes which were pulled on Nov 24 our file was still untouched and filed in registry. Noone has even touched it since April when they received it in Lima. Also, processing time increaed from 10 to 14 months, so not even our MP can help us. She called and all they told her was "we have until march, processing times have gone up".

So yea. Its a pretty sad situation

Been a long time since I posted on this thread.

Wife got interview queue letter at the end of August and I went to Indonesia to live with her at the start of October. I emailed the Program Manager of SVO in November which resulted in our interview being waived/cancelled and we recieved DM and PPR two days later. My wife just landed today at Pearson Airport with the whole process taking about 4 minutes. We are officially done.

Good luck to anyone still waiting for good news.

Happy for you guys!

How did you get in touch with the program manager?
We have been trying to get ahold of someone, .. ANYONE at the embassy, but literally noone will talk to us. Even when our MP calls, she just talks to the Call Centre in Montreal ???

I found his email address within the Singapore thread on the forum. I wrote an email basically expressing my frustration with the process, outlining all of the proofs we sent with the app as well as the further proofs we sent later, stated I was now living with my wife and in-laws in Indonesia and that my wife sponsored my visa extension, and stated that we don't understand how they could be doubting our marriage and asked for a second review. At that point GCMS was showing nothing started and interview required. Two weeks later we got a reply from him that he personally reviewed our file and found no need for an interview and told us the application was approved. Next day background check went to in progress on MyCIC and the day after that we got PPR email and DM on ECAS.

When the MP calls to check on the case it's to the call centre in MTL. Same thing happened when I involved my MP.

I did a quick search online for an email for you but couldn't find anything. If you dig deep enough maybe you can find contact information for someone who can help you.
