Thanks!!! They are asking for my medical exams because mine expired, they sent an attached document that I have to take to the physician so he can fill that out. Hopefully the expiration date of the visa is with the new date of the medical exams! I'm crossing fingers for it to be like that because my husband just got back from visiting me and he is currently getting everything for my landing, so we do need a little time. We thought my process would take more than the usual 8 months that Bogota VO takes time.

Hey ImABule, my medical exams are expired, that's why they are requesting for new ones. I believe that once I send the new medical exams and my passport the valid expiration date will be with the new exams. Thanks for answering though.
Hi mega! I really didn't know if it was PPR because the email was like a regular document request email, we are still in shock with the news!
Yes, it is PPR, and they are stating that it's urgent that you don't delay to submit the passport as the validity of the visa won't be long.. but then they are requesting a new medical exam which would alleviate the concern about the visa expiring.. That's where it has me confused.

Keep us posted on how much time do you get on your Visa and also check the status for decision made.

Hi

You're actually lucky they even sent corresponding acknowledging the receipt of the documents. Usually, you won't even get that.

The med line was removed because they expired and added again with new med results.

- Does this mean that they have started to work on our file, why I am asking this because general perception is whenever they ask for additional docs(in our case PCC and med) they put the file on hold while waiting for the new docs? I know notes are my best bet but it will take one month to come so, i am seeking your guidance.

When they request docs they usually come back to the file once the deadline has come to see if they have been submitted.

Since it has been updated there's really no way to tell if they are working on it or just updated that Med's are received.

If your app is on MyCIC I suppose you can check if it says passed.

I checked ECAS and it still says in progress and in My CIC Account I found a "message" when I clicked on it it was the letter that I have to give to the physician, it was posted today in the morning before the email I got from the VO.
I will keep you guys posted about what expiration date is my visa valid.

Good luck to all of you going through this process! Keep a positive attitude ALWAYS! You will soon reunite with your loved ones.

Hey Guys sorry to bother you agian. What should i understand from a blank Review of submitted documents field? I hit on that question mark to read the definition but was at total loss to interpret the meaning of blank entry.

I have a question fellow Feb applicants, I need to update CIC regarding my new job, where does the Sponsor send case specific inquiry?

Should I also send an inquiry to London Visa Office since that's where my wife's file is being processed? I am the sponsor.

The sponsor does not need to update if they change jobs.

Hey JJ, I see that they requested you the additional docs on 13th July, could you tell me on what date did you submit the documents? I am just trying to establish the timeline from the time docs are requested to submitted to PPR. Thanks:)

Hey Mega_Option.. just saw that you landed... so Congrats:)... I have a question for you, what does the visa stamp stay in the category section - Immigrant or something else? I was just curious from the spouse(who is being sponsored) point of view, in the sense I am wondering if it says FM or something and if it remains same whether the sponsored person is spouse, parent or sibling. Like is there a way to identify the relationship of the sponsored person.

Hey Truthprev, I sent the documents they requested on July 23. I asked for the second set of GCMS notes on August 2, got asked for other documents on August 3rd. Last Friday they emailed my husband that he needed to resubmit the consent letter for GCMS notes and yesterday, Monday I was asked for the medical exams and passport.
We think that by asking for GCMS notes helped a lot because on July 3rd we received the first set of notes. We believe that by asking notes they have to open your case obligatory. Bogota VO was also kind of slow until this past two months, a couple of applicants have received PPR.
I hope my timeline helps you out! I'll keep you posted as soon as I send the passport and medical exams, to give you that timeline too. Best of luck to you and the rest!

Ordering GCMS notes doesn't affect your file positively or negatively and has nothing to do with the officer processing your file.

JJ - You know in what boat we all are the killing wait so overcome that a human being's mind try to find ways to come out of the tension and stress, thats exactly what i am doing and you helped in that... well i am just trying to establish a theory(of course it varies from case to case) - So, i deduce from your time line that within one month of submitting the docs you got PPR!! i ll just stick to that, that it is possible that one gets PPR in one month from submitting the docs... I know this for a fact for US/Australia cases but now i have a third world country too..
Bule - Irrespective of the impact, i am going to get those notes....

Good luck everyone!!

My husband and I thought we would receive PPR on November, we never expect it before. We felt our case moved faster when we started applying for GCMS notes.
Maybe it was because of the GCMS notes or because our case didn't have any red flags or because Bogota VO has a few cases (12 cases that I know of from July 2015-August 2016, 7 have received their PPR).
I'm glad I was able to help you in a way. Ask for the GCMS notes, they help a lot to keep yourself and your spouse sane. It gives you a brief idea of what is going on with your case. By the way, just wondering, which one is your VO? Good luck!
