Oh we certainly did :)

We are even planning our trip back to Poland now (knowing that she will be able to return with her CoPR).
haha, I imagine it will be much less stressful! Have you seen much of Poland yourself?

My common-law (husband) and I are getting ready to submit our app soon, I still need to get medicals done, we need to get letters from friends and family, and I need my Polish clearance, but we already have a large pile of documents ready so now final touches and... keeep your fingers crossed! It's also Mississauga and then Warsaw, so I hope that our case will go quickly too! :) May i ask, did you have any red flags? What was you app like (volume, what kind of evidence did you have, etc?) :) congrats again!

Quick question, starting May 26th, we will be able to link our sponsorship paper application to our MyCIC Account.
As for now, we can link Student Visas (and others)

My question, do you think we can link an application that already got decision made? My husband applied for a student visa a year ago and was denied. We never ordered the notes, but were wondering if we can just link the old (already denied) application to the account and maybe see information/ and or notes from the officer as to why he was denied?

Even if you could link the application, it wouldn't give you any information. My wife was denied a study permit that we applied for online through MyCIC and all we can do is view the application and the refusal letter. I'm assuming he has the refusal letter already.

If you want to know why it was refused you will have to order the GCMS notes for the application like we did.

I've lived with my spouse for 9 months in Poland. We had a chance to see most of Warsaw (she is from Warsaw), we also visited Wrocław, Kraków and some small villages near Łódź. I still need to go to the mountains and to the sea coast, but we will do this with our daughter.

I hope that your application goes as quickly as ours did.

In turns of volume, we submitted a lot of proof with regards to our visits (train, plane, bus tickets) - as there was a point in time where I lived in Germany. We submitted Skype call logs, and some letters along with around 75 pictures of us and our family, daughter :) we even sent shared bills like phone bills and PayPal money logs (I was sending her money through this when she was on maternity leave).

Didn't leave any gaps.

I am waiting for our notes, but I don't think there were many red flags (I could be wrong). I'll let you know what I find when they arrive.

Hope this helps :)

A few weeks ago we got an email requesting additional id photos from the mvo. Before that we didn't even know it had arrived there. Online it says our application is in process.

Manila isn't the only one standing still...Bogota VO has been extremely quiet even with other applications, nobody has heard anything from it since the beginning of April. :(

Hi there!

That sounds fantastic! Kraków is such a lovely city! Congrats again, btw, this is such fantastic news! and it went so quick :)

Thanks for letting me know about your app too, looks like it was very strong! I am planning to give them heaploads of evidence as well! although as we live together now (since 2014) most of our skype logs etc are from before I moved in, so dunno if they'll want to read through 120 pages of messages and calls from 2013... I was thinking, since they're mostly interested in us living as common-law, maybe give them a few logs from before 2014 and then just give them a table of contents and info that we can always send more... what do you think? shall I just give them all we have, just in case?

I didn't send them any chat logs (other than two letters that I wrote to my wife that were perhaps 2-4 pages long).

Other than that, it was all call history. I even highlighted all the call durations and dates (going back to 2012).

There is no such thing as sending them too much (if it is too much then they will shred it), but at least you can have a piece of mind knowing you sent them everything. You are right in saying that since you are applying as common-law they will ask for more proof of ties to one another. Send in bills that you have in both your names, bank account info, etc. Anything that ties you are your spouse to each other will only strengthen your case.

If anyone can help me with this two questions while ordering GCMS notes:

*What type of record would you like to request?

*Specify the type of file you are requesting:

Thank you sooo much!

1. Family Class

2. Immigration File

I am assuming you are requesting your notes to see what is happening to your spouse's file (after SA). This is how you should select.

Thanks Mega, my husband (he is the sponsor) is the one who is requesting them because we haven't heard nothing from our VO. He is not tech-savy and he is travelling on Wednesday to visit me so I have to do a "How to order GCMS NOTES" instruction guide so he can order them tonight.
Another question:
Which specific information are you looking for? I assume it's "your application, supporting documents..." right?!
