We got an email from the vo in Rome requesting photocopies of every passport page for my husband and son. There application has been in process since may 12th. They also requested my husband's divorce certificate from his first marriage. Does this mean DM? Is that what the photocopies are for? We are applying from Greece and want to leave asap!

Almost there to DM, So please send the additional documents asap! Then PPR or DM! Be happy

Checked last night, no DM for my wife. Checked this morning, DM.

It means you already have a ppr or the passport request... you just have to wait for few months for decision made

I dont think this is DM! Case still in process! Once you send documents you might received an email or mail for PPR! then its DM.

I will be submitting my passport on 20th only!

It was definitely an "Additional Documents Request". However, the order of PPR and DM varies by VO, and logically DM comes before PPR even if it isn't processed through the system first.

And this will take months? Their email mentioned that they are doing a final review of the application.

It all depends, but I would say your timescale is now better measured in weeks than months. Wait to receive the papers, a final review, DM/PPR, wait to receive passport, issue visa, wait to get passport and visa back. Lots of waiting, but not many more hurdles.

'Dear Sir / Madam,
This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.
We are now ready to issue your immigration visa(s). In order to complete this process, we need your passport(s).
Please note that we need you to withdraw your Student Application 'A' as we will be issuing you your Permanent Resident Visa.
Please refer to the attached letter on how to submit your passport(s).
We hope this information will be of assistance.'

Yes guys, I applied for both VISA category study application for this Fall as well as my PR (my spouse applied for me). It has been only 2 months since my PR application was received by CIC singapore. Within this as they saw I have applied for another VISA category they asked to withdraw temporary one and gave the permanent one.

Really felt like sharing this with you all so that you can also plan something similar to get PR faster.
PS: Not sure whether this will be applicable for every country/individual.
