Does anyone know if I can call the call centre on my sponsor's behalf to find out if we got SA yet? He works during call centre hours so I wanted to do it but didn't want to waste my time on hold all day just to be told it has to be him calling.

Usually for Timeline in Early stage of application CIC Call Center Agent will reply to Wait for E-case to be updated. If you have sent your Application in Feb-2015 I would suggest to wait little bit for Updated E-Case.And They will not Provide Information for anyone who is not Authorized Person to get Information due to Privacy. You can Get information only if you were a representative in Application.

That falls under Canada's privacy laws they will not release information to you unless they have it in writing that your sponsor gives his/her permission for you to have access.

I have a que pls...
My consultant was the one who did the paperworks, organized and send my application. So she's the 3rd party rep here.
My question is who's gonna receive the aor email? Is it her as the authorized rep or me and my husband?
I'm the one being sponsored btw.
App was sent feb13...

Thx ❤️

Representative should receive All the Updates on your Application as he is Authorized Person and if his email has been given to Receive All updates regarding Case he will Get All update Including AOR.

I really don't understand immigration really becaus. If they received my application Feb 6 why is people after me getting approved.. it doesn't make sense at all... I have no luck then they tell me too call back in 3 weeks the end of April.. this is my rant with immigration I'm so frustrated with this process already...I'm crossing fingers for everyone's application to get through fast.. I guess I have no luck urgh..
if they can't approve the first stage in time what does that mean later on I'm hoping fast but it's in God's hands
Suzanne, the time from AOR to SA normally is very fast, unless they have to wait for some outside verification. At which point, some people will lag behind. The speed of the first stage has nothing to do with the second stage, as they are about different halves of the relationship.

If your situation is more complicated than average, expect to wait a bit longer than others.

Hmm...Is this the time when I should start worrying? We are Feb 13th applicants, no AOR yet.
Hmm...

No, you are still two weeks away from worrying. As of April 7, they were working on applications from February 4. So one more week until it's the normal period, and a second week for any lag behind the pack. If you don't have an AOR by April 21, then you should be asking questions.

Mapleson, thank you for positive thought. It's nerve-wracking!

Just received our AOR (within 50 days!). Little modification needs to be made on the spreadsheet. Application was received on 20th Feb instead of 19th. Feeling so relieved Alhamdulillah :D.

Mapleson I never even got back my aor yet but I did have an in Canada application in and switched it too out of Canada... I dont know if that slows it down

Hi Suzanne2014, my husband and I did the same thing - first applied inland and then switched to outland. It only took a couple months for our outland AOR, so I'm sure yours is on the way!

It only resets the clock. I'd be interested to know if there is any variability by courier or application thickness, but I find great distraction in numbers.

Wednesday and Thursday represent a majority of the AOR notices. The current processing lag is near 62 days (March 24-April 7 was 62 days, March 10 to March 24 was 64 days), however, you have two additional holidays in your timeframe (total of 3), so 64 days in still "average", which is today or tomorrow/Monday. The slowest 20% averaged 67 days, so you aren't an abnormal case until Wednesday. Finally, the longest AOR of the year was 72 days, which would be April 17, so you have a week more of optimistic waiting.
