This is queer! I thought CIC officials have the names of all the countries on the planet.
When did Sydney email you this request?

I got 2 emails from Sydney - 1. to pay RPRF and 2. request for additional documents - They wrote:

Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate. Please submit a police certificate from ###.

But the problem is that ### is a village where my husband used to live in our country for which I already submitted police certificate when I mailed out our application.
My embassy advised me to send them a letter explaining that ### is not a country, but village, which I did.

Is there anyone who had this kind of issue?

Guys if you are getting these kind of problems you should go to the local MP's office and talk to them. Because cic is getting mad they are asking pcc again n again from many applicants

Hey Guys,

I submitted my PR application on Feb 7th to CIO (Nova Scotia) and today I got the email asking for RPRF fee.

Along with RPRF, they are asking me to submit Police Clearance Certificates (PCC) again for "X" country. Even though the one for "X" country I submitted with my application is only 6 months old from now.

On top of that I worked in UAE for about 4.5 months and they are asking me to send PCC from UAE as well, as I know CIC require ur PCC only from those countries where you spend 6 months or more after age of 18. In my case its only 4.5 months.

What you guys think, what should I do, should I send them PCC's from UAE and "X" country or just send them an explanation letter via email ?

Any body know how to get PCC easily and quickly from UAE Police ?

Today. It seems weird that they think that village is a country/state. Even if I wanted to get clearance certificate from that village, they don't have a police station, court or anything like that.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Anyway, try and fast-track any move you guys wanna take......am pretty sure you guys file is on table top now for consideration. But I don't understand why they chose to communicate to you now....why not weeks or months back?

I can only suggest that you don't bother with "logic" now ...... because nothing seems logical with CIC ways. Rally round and get every document they have specifically requested ASAP. Am sure any delays on your part will only stroke their delay further. And am sure they gave you a deadline to get these additional documents to them.

Thanks. I don’t quite understand that either. I mailed them a letter today. I'll follow up with email next week. Hopefully they'll realize that they made a mistake.

I can only say there's something weird going on in Sydney. Apparently they sent whole bunch of ridiculous police certificate requests in last few days.

One of my friend got RPRF request today. His file received is 11 feb.
