Hi,
I joined the January thread because I couldn't find a February one, but I'm kind of on the border. I took our app to the post office on January 29 after the mail went out, but Mississauga didn't get it until February 3. I just now found my AOR email. It was in my spam folder because it's from "Do Not Reply - Ne Pas Repondre" I guess. Anyway, that was sent February 28 (Friday) and I got my SA on March 3 (Monday). I'm so happy! I've actually spent 4 years getting this application complete (it's a long story), so I'm familiar with a lot of things in the process.
For whoever was asking about medicals, there is only one thing that is really likely to cause a spousal application to be rejected for medical reasons, as far as I know, and that is if the applicant is considered a danger to the public. If the applicant has some fatal condition which is very contagious (like TB), that would probably be a problem, but otherwise you should be fine. For some other family classes and for non-family classes, it could be a concern if the applicant has a medical condition which could put a strain on the health care system, but even that would not cause a problem with an applicant in the married, common-law, or conjugal category.
