Hi All, I am also a newbie.
Can you update me when can I see something on ecas.

I applied for Citizenship on Feb 28th and as per canada post website, package was delivered on March 6. When I try to login to CIC online status checking site, it does not open my page. It shows a general message something like this "This service is only available to people whose applciations are in -process. We may have received your application but not started working on it......."

After how many days usually it start showing something on ecas site?

Hi there,

You need to wait around 46-47 days for the eCas information to become available online. You can then use your Client ID (PR Card) to login and check your status. If you applied on the 28th and it reached them on March 6, I'd say, wait until the week of the 21st of April before expecting anything on eCas.

Hi there,
Here's what my ECAS says so far:
Application received: February 4, 2014
AOR letter and Discover Canada book sent: February 4, 2014
Started processing: March 21, 2014

AOR is actually not set on the same date the application was received, it's sent on the day they start processing the application.

Nothing shows on my ecase. My Application was received on 13 February 2014.

Hang in there! I know how frustrating it can get. They also change status on weekends so I would look forward to that.

And I got my AOR just now! Timelines seem to be pretty well aligned.
