Ok, checking in! I aam still waiting for my packet to get to my wife. She will sign and mail same day, looks like Tuesday at the latest!!
I hav a question for anyone who can help me. I know we have some seasoned veterans who read posts on all the boards...... Here goes!!
I hve my packet together and it will be mailed this week BUT, there has been a possible change of events for me. My wife's mom approached her about us possibly buying her house in Alberta. her mom is retiring in May and they are looking to move to BC to be near my wife's sister and her family. They are offering us their house at a steal of a price and it is fully furnished and includes one of their vehicles in the deal. We are cosidering it because it's a small town and is a great area for me to raise my son. It is also a cheaper cost of living than Ontario. There are job opportunities for me in my field, as well. It's a huge jump moving from Ontario to Alberta but it may be well worth the sacrifice. My questions are this:
1) I applied to get PR status in Ontario, what will happen if we decide we are going to move to Alberta?
2) If my wife decides to move before the process is complete, what do we need to do to notify CIC about her move? I will still be in the US at my current location until I get my PR status.
3) If we do decide to move there, how would it work if I have to cross in a different province?
I have so many questions but i don't want to let this opportuinty pass without at least considering it. Any help/insight is greatly appreciated!!
