Hi fellow February friends!

Just itching to get the ball rolling. Having a walk to post office tonight with application in hand and hoping to report back tomorrow with with our details for the spreadsheet!

PS. We plan on using Canada Post xpress post service, which is the best option to go with in regards to addresses? - some people have gone with the PO box option not requesting a signature etc? - just curious to see what you guys did??

Hi msmith! We sent ours through Canada Post Xpress and it arrived in Mississauga the very next day. Somebody signed and it was registered in the Canada post website. Very efficient!

Thanks! Yeah I think that was pretty fast. Just wanted to know if a fast processing time on step one means a fast step two also. Let's hope for the best!

Yes I did... I sent the package through Purolator... dropped off Friday afternoon and it was signed for Monday morning at CIC-M.

here is our timeline so far:

Med's done: Feb 7th 2013
Application sent: Feb 8th 2013
Was recieved (according to canadaposts tracking): 11th Feb
No sign of recieved app by cic yet.
My destination is BC and Im already here on study permit

Our office is London (Im swedish)

tried to see if I could check the status, but the number on the receipt was not a #b... Just the thing above the barcode, but I guess we just have to wait a bit.

Anyone know if the emials from cic have a risk to be put in hotmails "trash"? My wife is still on hotmail

All added in! I think they go into the junk mail sometimes. Werre checking everything daily!

And I sent mine xpress post. It arrived there but havent heard anything since.

Ok, since I am selecting sponsorship, do I enter my sponsor's info for the application name, birthday, and country?

I've tried both but haven't gotten in yet. Understandably, as they only received my app 2/15, but I already have to change email addresses for me and my sponsor. (brain dead move... cancelled the internet service that had the email addresses I submitted) :-[

you have to wait - you can't log into ecas before having the AOR or approval from stage 1. Some people can because they already have their UCI ( unique client identifier) from previous dealings with CIC, but if you're new to CIC then you just have to wait... but don't worry, you'll have plenty of time to obsess over ecas in stage 2 no need to start early!

10 posts indeed - then you can add the stats, send private messages etc!
If you want to reach it quickly, you can post info on each message - Vo in the first one, sending date in the second etc. You might irritate people here though!
