Thanks for the information given it did help me clear up my mind, one more thing though kc parang nainggit lng ako sa iba nabasa ko sa iba din na forum ung ibang march batch may PPR na po at mostly din dito sa Feb batch but my wife an I still got no email about PPR nag check na din ako sa local post office namain ala pa din po kinda sad but still praying that we got any sign of progress. Nga pala po san ko makikita ung info na katulad sa iba File Transfer? was that sent through email?

hi ian sa email or letter of sponsorship approval nakaindicate dun that they will transfer ur file sa visa office mo. Dont lose hope, there are still feb applicants na wala pang ppr. U may check our spreadsheet para mareview mo ung timeline namen. Malapit na yan

This was the email that was sent to my wife, before she received the email she called first the CIC hotline and she was informed that the mail about the confirmation was be sent to her address (Canada), tapos un po nung June 7, 2012 natanggap nya ung letter Sponsor Decision na ok na at sa ECACS/website using her UCI number status is approve na po ung Application nya kaya naguguluhan po ako sa "File Transfer" kc di ko po alam kung pinadala na ba ng CIC ung files ko dito po sa Manila Office po. thanks for answering all questions I have and im glad sa approve na and im still keeping my spirits high also praying na sana dating na ung PPR po ehehehe. Im just a bit worried kc di ko po alam kung san na papers ko ehehe..

This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2012/02/24.

Hello Ian,

Pasali lang, that email your wife received on May 28 that you posted above is what we call the AOR. not everybody receives one. It just basically confirms that CIC received your application.

When your wife was approved as sponsor on June 7, in the email she received, she must have been given a file number in this format F0000***** . You can use that to log in ecas using your (applicant) details.
Your ecas should say "Application received" . Your ecas could also say if medical results were received, coz in my case I was able to see that on my husband's ecas even before PPR.
When logging in using your wife's UCI and details, her ecas should be "Decision made"- referring to the sponsorship approval. But under your name, it should be "Application Received"
You will get your own UCI number on the PPR letter and you can use that to log in ecas but for now you can use the file number.

Upon approval of sponsor, the file was transferred to Manila embassy, you will only know the exact date of when Manila received it on the PPR letter. The PPR letter is sent thru snail mail.

As a reference, you may see my timeline , I got approved as sponsor on May 1 and based on PPR letter, Manila received it on May 8. They sent out the PPR letter on May 10.

We are on the same boat ianshe. Hopefully we will get the PPR before the end of this month.

im just a bit worried with our application my wife and I filed our application February 24, 2012 (Canada), my wife did received and email confirmation that her sponsorship for was approved dated June 7, 2012, on the website up to now we haven't received any updated yet just a notification that application was received, medical received, its not even stated if its in progress, its been several months that the status was just stuck on that status, will there be a way for us to know if our files/documents was transferred here in Manila Office. My apologies if got a lot of questions but any feedback will be appreciated

Yes po, sobrang di ko inexpect nagulat nalang ako may package ako from dhl, and that day na nareceive ko ung visa, app received pa din sa ecas ko. Then after 3days yta na nakuha ko ung visa tsaka pa lang ako na DM kaya di ganun ka reliable ung ecas.
