Me either. I contacted CIC on Wednesday and they sent me a list of instructions on what they need in order to look into the technical issue.

my husband is going to redo his medical tomorrow, does anybody knows how long we have to wait more after the medical is done it is almost 1 year i am in the process with papers

Hello Europe

My wife also had to redo her medical while we were waiting. I just found this thread so I will do a quick summary of our process. My wife is from Ukraine. On Feb 24 2012 CiC received our papers. In May I was approved as a sponsor and in June the embassy in Kiev received the paperwork from Mississauga. In July I went to visit her and we applied for a visitor visa for her and it was approved. Aug 8th she flew to Canada and stayed here with me for 4 months and went home in December. While she was here her medical exam expired and she redid it in October through a local doctor that CIC approved. Her son will be coming as a dependant and he also had to redo his medical which he did in Kiev. On January 8th I sent an email asking about an update on her application. They replied on Jan 14th saying they didn't have her son's new medical records. We called the clinic that redid his medical and they informed us that they forwarded the medical to London where it gets processed and that the embassy in Kiev should be able to see this. We sent the Embassy an email telling them this and the next day, Jan 15th, we both got an email stating that her application had been approved.
So if i were you I would maybe send the embassy an email in about 3-4 weeks asking if everything was ok and if they received the new medical. Anytime we emailed the Kiev embassy they answered so hopefully they will do the same for you.
Good luck to you and everyone else waiting!

MY process we had her interview done on jan16th and we were accepted we had to redo medical and pcc. we sent them both together on jan 28th and they said we should get news in 15 days its been 15 days now and we cant check our status im kinda worried anyone have any idea whats going on ?

D672 thnx a lot for answering my question , Vienna never reply to my email even if they reply is sftre 3 weeks sayign that ther file is in process, i will wait 4-5 weeks and see if i dont hear anything i will email them , we are 12 months we started with the application , i hope soon this nightmare is going to end for us..

Hey Thundersoul

We are not picking on you. To me it seem like you are picking on me. From the beginning I have been civil and friendly but sometimes I guess out of stress and frustration you can get a bit hurtful.

The whole point of this forum is for support and advice from each other and I believe WE are all friends here and in the same situation. I am in the same situation as you, 1 year on and still nothing and my ECAS is still not working (4 days now). Yes it is stressful and frustrating but lets not take out on each other. If you are not ready yet to be friends with me, well lets just stay civil shall we? :)

To all of us - Good luck and best wishes.

Cool, sounds good... :)

I brought this up before, but I'm not sure what the answers were. Maybe I can get some help on this now?
On one of the application forms, we put the following on her form:

1) I have been denied entry into Canada before
2) I have been denied a visa to enter Canada before

#2 is correct because she applied for a tourist visa, and she was denied.
#1 is incorrect because she never came to Canada and was turned around at the border.

What impact will this have on her application? #1 seems serious, although it never happened.

An immigration officer told us that being denied for a visa is a red flag but overall NOT a big deal. Getting denied for a visitor's visa is common especially when a spouse is in Canada and I have read of many people here getting their visas after being denied once or even more than once for a visitor's visa.

So you are ok.
