As far as I know that is customary. I believe most people are waiting months (myself included at 6 months) to hear something. It could be sooner, and I hope it is for you, but there are many people waiting months after AOR before they hear anything.
He is talking about sponsorship AOR, not VO AOR. You don't wait months for sponsorship approval. It often takes one week but sometimes up to a month.

:\ You're making a big deal out of 102 days? It took me about 130...
Oh come on TS. You expect people to be ok with 102 days just because it took you longer? 102 days really sucks! It took me 85 days and that sucked too!

Thanks for clarifying that! I thought he was talking about VO AOR! Do some people really get sponsorship approval within a week? I don't think I've heard of that or even read about that one, yet! It's great if it is true!

One week after getting the AOR from Mississauga. I got AOR after 78 days and approval at 85 days.

Ok, gotchya now! Thanks for explaining it. Wow, that's really great that you got approval that fast! congrats :)

Thanks! It is sad that 85 days is fast now. It used to be 30 days!

I am sorry you have been waiting 6 years but I believe you started out skilled worker. That is totally different. We have the right to want to be with our families right away and 6 months is a long time. EVERYTHING IS RELATIVE.

One day apart from my wife feels like 6 years on emotions. You waited 6 years? Guess its worth it to become canadian. I waited my whole life to find my soul mate and 6 months extra wait isn't amazing.

We are sitting in a similar boat. I was so hopefull! When we sent our app. away it was only 55 days approval time and then off to Berlin. Now it's well over 90 days, they closed Berlin, and my oldest son starts school in Sept. in Canada. And that leaves me with no choice but to move to Canada in August with my two small kids and start up our life there alone. Leaving my wife is hard enough, but having to take my kids away from their mother is a horrible feeling. She is the main bread winner and has to work, she can't just leave her job and sit around in Canada waiting for CIC to get their act together. My wife and I are so frustrated about this we both could and have cried about it.

Hey Sabaniga, I really hope that things get better, I feel really sorry reading about your situation, it's hard enough to be away as a couple, but with 2 kids, and starting everything in Canada on your own, that must be really tough. All my positive vibes go out to you and your wife, and I hope you will have a smooth process - Vienna is known to be quite fast office, and with 2 kids your relationship is easy to prove I suppose, so I hope for you that the PR won't be delayed for too long. Good luck with everything!

So you are telling me I could wait months after receiving my AOR. Wow everyone told me should be just 10 days but months omg what the hello why have I been flag. I wish I never got the stupid AOR. So all Feb get approved but not me because I have AOR. Oh god

jordan2110, there are alot of us who are not approved for february nor have we received and AOR....at least you have had communication and know your file is not lost...take comfort in that.....many of us only have are postal confirmations and nothing from CIC......if you have your AOR your file is being looked at and your approval won't be that much longer.......

mobeyk, I totally relate to this. It's been only a month since I came back home here, but this month apart surely feels like a year. As much as I feel for the skilled worker class that sometimes they have to go through very long waits, I strongly believe being separated from your family because of visa delays is unacceptable.
