I am on Beijing time (12 hours ahead of Toronto time). When I wake up, I expect to see more approvals. When I don't, it gets me down. It's really unbelievable how long it's taking the VOs to approve an application.

What can we do as a group? I mean, should we start a new petition? We have hundreds of members here...or should we contact the site administrators since they are immigration lawyers and see if they would be willing to do a pro bono to help us out?

I have ants in my pants!! I want out of China so badly!!

How?

Simple:
Average time to get an answer: 104 days.
What was the avg. time to get an answer before (Feb, when we actually submitted): 42 days

104/42 =~ 2.48.

Let's just say that China is good for short visits, and that's all. The first year or two were okay...but living in a totalitarian state can get old, fast!

100 days is OK. I was at 104 days till they said they won't process my application because they are too picky and wanted me to write a word (NONE) and send it to them signed by my wife.

hi im feb aplicants too from philippines feb 10 we send and until no no UCI number also no news or what so ever it make me frustrated where is my papers well so sad but im with my baby on that documents we send

it just says application received,and when i click on it it says we received your application on february 7th and afther that, Medical results have been received.

i don't want to give u high hopes but i'm almost sure that u passed stage 1 maybe the sponsor approval letter is on its way or even worse it got stuck like the canadiangirl's one :
once we got the sponsor approval email the ecas was not working at all; after a few days they had the "we received ur pr application on this date" under the PR application tab; and a few days after that there was "medical results have been received message" too which for me it meant almost 100% sure that the file already reached the vo (since the medical results r with the vo not with missisauga); actually from what i know they transfer online the most imp forms and the rest (relationship proofs) will go with the phisical file and take around 2 weeks to reach

so yeah it looks that ur fist stage is done, all u need to do is call and confirm that; good luck!!

I got an email on the 1st June to say I have been approved now status says decsion made and medicals have been received
and that I will receive a letter in post. I am confused because descion was made on the 1st the day I got an email from them to say I was appoved? any thughts thanks

i called, and they said that they cannot give me informations about my application on the phone! they have already sent a letter, but it didn't arrive, so they will re-send it...

edit : i planned to go in canada on summer as permanent resident. can i at least hope?

already 115 days still waiting for an answer every time I Called CIC havE a same answer no update i just want to know where is my file i CIC recived on 13 feb according to post canada AT am no approval this week how come they have start working on 22 feb what abt 13 feb

hkbasi, I would definitely be calling again. Now that they have posted February 22nd that is 9 days after receipt of your application so try again and hopefully you get an agent that will be helpful and just say the usual blah blah blah. I know it if were me, and they posted after I would be calling every two to three days.

thanks for reply i call them everyday but same answer no update can't do anything bla blaaaa. i evn met with MP he called ottawa immigration and they said no update may be they are still working on the file or no open yet call back in 2 or 3 weeks . am wooried where is my file

hkbasi....that is just not right.....I don't know what to say.....I guess just keep calling every few days that is all you can do.....do we know if anyone's file has actually gotten lost???? It just seems to me that a few of us get a bad agent who just does not work diligently and doesn't give a damn that he is hurting people......it is one thing to wait but to see your date pass for processing and still no answer must be unbearable.....hang in there.....it will be fine.......
