Hi,I read someone posted about there being a "new system" that was implemented this spring? Can someone tell me more about it and what the deal is? Could it be why some of our applications are going slower than molasses?
Have you been on the thread for outland Buffalo applicants yet? There is a lot more information there regarding this. My understanding is that they implemented a new system in Buffalo some time in March. Since your e-CAS showed that your application was received in Buffalo quite soon after it was sent, it appears you are in the new system. As far as I understand and someone can correct me if I am wrong, there was a different process to receiving AOR prior to this system and applicants would often not receive an AOR for several weeks. So you know that Buffalo received your application at least but the next step is for it to be in process when you receive a letter or email or your e-CAS changes to reflect that it is in process. We noticed that our e-CAS changed to in process on June 10th and we just received PPR on June 22nd, so after hearing nothing for awhile, things can actually happen very quickly. Our e-CAS had previously shown that the application was received in Buffalo on April 9th.
One member of this forum, Sparkle, has created a spreadsheet showing Buffalo timelines and you can see by looking at it that you are definitely not the only one who is waiting. There are many from Dec/Jan/Feb who seem to be caught between the change of systems and have not heard anything either, which is very unfortunate! If you post in the Buffalo thread she can add you to the spreadsheet too; https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?authkey=CLSRv0c&pli=1&hl=en&key=tSwhpbL3i0FEVj1Fw4efAcg&hl=en&authkey=CLSRv0c#gid=0
