quick question for those who have gotten approval letter and ecas turned on.
what does it say under Permanent Residence Application status: not Available?
has any of the early feb been updated past that?

hi lama,

my file has been transferred on 8th and I also got a letter. I am sure ur file is also transferred to delhi on 8th itself... For many people, Ecas shows "file received" update after 10 days once sponsorship is approved.

did u get letter.

@ Challenger....thanks for the info , i hope they update our e-cas by showing it has recieved @ ND.....its almost 10days now.........btw ya i got the letter on Monday itself....i wasn't expecting that soon thou, but anyways I was happy !!

based on alot of the posts alot of people ( within my time frame) already got their approval letter

Mine also says same thing. we started processing application on march 8 and under applicant's name "Not available". They will update this to "application received at NDelhi" after 10 days once sponsorship is approved.

i have got letter. and did u get.

I checked my file online and today it said they sent a letter out on Wed. the status changed to decision made.. it was in process before.

waiting for the letter...

May I ask, those who have already received letters on your sponsorship approval, is your Client ID# an 8 digit number with no letter before it? Or is there a letter then the 8 digit number?

We're still waiting for sponsorship approval and eCAS is still inaccessible for us, for some reason (we filed on Feb 15). My husband call the Call Centre today and was given a client ID, and they told him to wait another week, but call them back on Monday if nothing has changed on eCAS ???

did you pay the right of perm residence fee? if you did you can use the receipt # to log into ecas

I can check ecas with the client ID and PR no. Try accessing with the PR no.

I don't have a PR number? We have the client ID for my husband (sponsor) and the receipt number. That's it.

Yes, we paid the RPRF upfront. When we log in with the Receipt number it is still saying "Unable to locate Record".

Today I called CIC and they said you have to resubmit the application with the requested document and it will take another 37 days to open the case..

Anybobdy who's application returned got anything in mail????I didnt receive anything yet.. Does it takes a week to mail an application with in GTA???

That's rather annoying. Someone else had said that the officer will stamp the pages approved and give you a timeline to return the application at which time it would be fast tracked and you would avoid the month wait again. I was hoping that would be the case but that would be too easy I guess.

I have already contacted the police in Ireland and requested a new police report, but I guess this will delay the whole process by about 2 months, can't wait to see what the problem is!

then letter will come soon. you can call CIC call centre (if u r sponsor) and tell you have submitted application on feb 15 and you want to know status of ur application. (Dont tell them u check it online). and then they will say something like ur file has been transferred to new delhi on this date......try it.

hey dont worry it will come soon. just make sure u send document as soon as possible. And they sent me sponsorship approval letter by regular canada post and it takes around 4-6 working days depending upon ur location in canada.
