What advantages does Receipt Number vs Client ID vs File Number have when we compare this to CAS ?

before i received the letter of approval i was using the receipt # to log in ( and then enter the sponsor's info) for the rest of the fields.

once i received the letter it had the client ID. In my opinion logging in using both #s gives me the same result..

however you can only use the client ID if you want to check the status of your file using the automated phone number when calling the call ctr.

wow..i got approved as a sponsor on march 22 and they forwarded our file to the visa office of my spouse on the same date..checked my ecas today, manila philippines already recieved our file on march 28 ;D..6 days ..that was fast..im expecting 2 weeks. ;D

So finally I've gotten what was sent in the mail for me... approval letter

Now waiting for the file to get to ND.... and the PPR.

Just checked ecas today and they already updated the records. My Visa office received my permanent resident application March 28!!!! Hhoooorrraayyyy!!!

I finally just recieved the letter in the mail!! Feels good, I feel like calling my husband and playing an April Fools joke on him My ecas does not say that the applications have been mailed to the VO though..but in the letter it says it has been forwarded Does anyone know why this could be?

nairyd, ecas will only say appln recd once the VO enters this info... it took me about 2 weeks. of course it depends on each VO.

but rest assured it will update.

whoever is applying thru buffalo....wanted to let you know that CIC Buffalo is creating files rcvd by Jan. 17 2011. I had shot an email asking about my AOR and they said they havnt reached feb as yet so we are getting close, they are upto Jan 17th now.

Feb.18, 2011 - CPC-M Received Application via courier
Mar.21, 2011- Sponsorship Application Approved / Forwarded to CEM
Mar.29, 2011 - CEM- Recieved Application for PR

..waiting for AOR, ..anxiety level up and running...

i received the letter two days ago, ecase updated, We received application for permanent residence on March 29, now the big waiting game beginning. insha allah everything will be okay.

End of week two after sending them the pp. The Ecas only says app recvd n that too with sponsors login.
Uci/App file# from ppr is still not identified
