All those who submitted their APR without the FBI pcc (not received) , what all docs do we need to provide with the LOE. I just have the fedex payment slip with a tracking number which i got when i sent the doc. The slip doesn't have any sender or recipient information. Is that strong enough doc for submission with the LOE ?

I think so it ought to be, because there is no other proof we have got.

Hi,

Could you please mention the date FBI received your documents?
I sent mine on October 19th, and haven't got anything yet.

I think yours should be swiped in 7 to 10 days. Mine was delivered on Sep 30th and it got swiped last Friday (11/11)

Received mine on 11/29

FYI - I just spoke to someone this morning at the FBI CJIS division and they're opening mail from 10/17 and processing summary requests from 10/14.

Hope this helps!

rusticdud ...impressive timeline :) !

Channelier does not work for cic. You have to request from FBI itself.

How does that square with what's on the website right now? The page on "How to Get a Police Certificate – United States" says:

"For U.S. citizens and permanent residents only: you may apply to an FBI-approved channeler (a third party that helps deliver your information to the FBI). They will collect your application form, fingerprints, any fee(s), and give them to the FBI. Once the FBI completes their background check, they will send the results to the channeler. The channeler will then give you your record check letter. Please include the FBI letter with your application, and send us the complete package."

And further down the page it specifies that they'll only take the electronic copy anyways, so a fancy seal presumably doesn't mean much.

"Yes. If you are Invited to Apply (ITA) for Permanent Residence, you need to upload a police certificate in your Electronic Application for Permanent Residence (e-APR). Please follow the instructions above to get your police certificate. NOTE: CIC will not accept police certificates sent by mail for Express Entry applications."

I was reading another forum thread earlier that quoted this same page as denying that channeler reports would be accepted. However, when I clicked through, the page clearly says the opposite now.

It would appear maybe they changed their policy. Anyone know for certain? My wife and I are waiting on our reports, but I know her fingerprint plates didn't look stellar, so I'm wondering if I should wait for the long-delayed review or go straight to a channeler now.

If you are a US Citizen, you can use a channeler. CIC will accept it. HOWEVER, word of caution, make sure the channeler orders the right background check (ie, confirm it is the FBI form I-787). The channeler I initially used somehow ordered the wrong report and CIC rejected my application as incomplete. Good news is, when I went back to a different channeler the second time, it literally took 2 minutes to get the results. (waiting for another ITA so I can re-apply, however, is a different story)

pats2177, did you call them for delivery confirmation? My card was swiped on Nov 21, so I am wondering...do I call them and check the status or wait.

No DiNav I haven't called them yet as for me they will still take a month to process. However, I had a similar question. From what I have read on this forum until now is that as soon as they have charged your cc that means they have accessed your application and assigned a reference no. to your file. However, I haven't received any email from them stating the reference no. Some people have called them and taken the reference no. after the cc swipe.

For your case specifically, I think you should get your pcc in this week. It normally takes 3 - 4 weeks after cc swipe to receive your pcc

P

I hope so. I will wait till 21st Dec. That will complete a month from the time of my CC swipe. Or else will call them on 22nd.
