Friends,

I just received my report from FBI PCC and it has got REJECTED due to low quality of fingerprints :(. What should I do now? Please suggest.

My timeline however had been as under:-

FBI Received courier on 7th Oct, 2016
Credit Card swiped on 20th Nov, 2016
Received Report courier on 16th Dec, 2016

Might help someone to know how long FBI takes to give PCC report.

Hi drwajju,

How did you know that USPS has lost your courier. Did FBI provide you with courier reference no. for you to track? Reason why I am asking this question is because its been 2 weeks since my cc has been swiped and I have received no email from them so assuming they just post your pcc once its ready without sending any emails. Request you to please share your views.

Regards,
P

Hey guys!

FBI received my finger prints on October 19th.
I received my FBI PCC on December 21st.

Not sure when the credit card was charged, lol! I sent money order.

Regarding finger prints part: I got it done from local police station, they gave me 3 sets of finger prints for 10 bucks! 3 sets - hence the chance of rejection was low.

Anyways, Thank you to everyone on this forum. Really helpful!

Hi,

Were they digital fingerprints or ink ones?

You sent all the 3 copies to FBI?

Wasn't digital.
They had sort of a brick made of coal or something, finger prints were powdry - and yes, I sent all 3 of those.

Hi all

I am filling up FBI PCC form. I am from India and I live in US. What needs to be filled in - Applicant Home Address - section? Should it be permanent address in India or current US address?

This is the form - https://forms.fbi.gov/identity-history-summary-checks-review/q384893984839334.pdf

Also I am planning to get my fingerprints done at a local police station. Do we need to carry this FD 258 to the police station? Or they will have this form?

https://www.fbi.gov/file-repository/standard-fingerprint-form-fd-258-1.pdf/view

If they give 3 copies, should I include everything while sending my application? I am also planning to include my spouse application in the same package. So I need to include my application, finger prints, spouse application and finger prints in the envelope?

Thanks.

US Address

You can carry your own or they can give it to you for some price.

If they give 3 copies, should I include everything while sending my application? I am also planning to include my spouse application in the same package. So I need to include my application, finger prints, spouse application and finger prints in the envelope?

You also have to include the CC form:

And get the electronic fingerprints done from the police station. and include as many as you can to avoid rejection. I included 4.
I had two separate packages for my and I, I would recommend you the same.

Thanks.

Thanks for the response. They just gave us one copy in police station and I am not sure how they will respond if I go there asking for fingerprints again. I will go ahead with one for now as I am still waiting for my spouse IELTS and WES to be done. If rejected, I will make sure that I get couple of them printed during my next visit.

Just wanted to know.. What difference it makes to submit both mine and spouse in one package vs sending separate packages?

Also on what mail do I need use in USPS? What is considered as proof of submission of finger prints to FBI? Did you use return receipt or certificate of mailing or signature confirmation?
