Thanks Chhavis

I have still not got a PER mail, though my CC has been charged. Was looking at doing it myself, as 4k for just fingerprints looks extremely expensive to me. May be i will also get it done through an expert, but wanted to give it a try.

When you say, 22-oct applicant, are you referring to the FBI PCC or CIC application.

Thanks for the reply.

For CIC FSW 2014 application - I am a Dec 22nd Applicant !! in NOC 2131.

For FBI PCC - I have started much earlier and Oct 22nd my file reached FBI office. From this forum, we are now seeing FBI opening applications for Oct 22nd and my file should be in their hand these days and charge my CC for fees.

Just called FBI hotline. They are now opening applications of Oct 22, 2014
I got the same reply on Monday, And they are saying that it would take 2-3 weeks more to send my report.
FBI received my application on 17th Oct

Received FBI PCC

Application received date by FBI : 16th Sep 2014
CC charged date : 8th Oct 2014
Search Completed on : 7th Dec 2014
Report / Letter date : 17th Dec 2014
Letter Despatch date : 19th Dec 2014
Letter Received date : 8th Jan 2015 ( India )

Additional Information: I called the call center on 11th Dec. A lady told me that my finger prints were accepted by system.
I called up 19th , 21st , 22nd , 23rd. They told my letter was not despatched. I called again on 24th Dec. They told they will despatch my letter in the afternoon or late evening. My letter was actually despatched on 19th Dec.

Note: I have sent only one set of finger print. I bought a stamp pad from a local shop, took a print in A4 paper and did it my self at my home. I was not aware that we can send multiple copies. But luckily it worked. Please take the help of professionals and sent multiple copies. But I have seen finger prints take by self , professionals and police departments of US , India getting rejected.

Wish you all the best . Special thanks to Johnson for starting this thread.

Hi sdy,

Congrats!! could you please elaborate how you did fingerprints yourself?

Dear Experts,

I will summarize a process of getting PCC-USA here just to cross-check the correctness of the way I am going to obtain it for myself. It will be great to receive your valuable feedbacks/corrections if any. Here I go:

1] Need to download FD-258 Fingerprint Card from FBI website where apart from my personal info I will get my all the fingerprints by an expert. In my case, I am planning to get it done at Forensic Department. I suppose only ONE FD-258 card is sufficient as it has got a space to have 10 finger prints.

2] Once step 1 is completed, I will fill up an APPLICATION FORM available at the website of FBI. Again, I assume only one copy of this is required to be dispatched.

3] After having above documents in place, I will get a CERTIFIED CHECK of USD 18$ from a local bank in favor of 'Treasure of the United States'. Is Certified Check is a sort of Demand Draft (a common term in India).

4] Finally, I will keep FD-258 Fingerprint Card (1 copy), Application Form (1 copy) & Certified Check in an envelop and dispatch it on the following address:

To,

FBI CJIS Division – Summary Request
1000 Custer Hollow Road
Clarksburg, WV 26306.

I hope, WV in the address above stands for WEST VIRGINIA.

Guys please correct me if I am doing any mistakes in following above steps.

Thanks in advance.

Almost on track. Few suggestions and answers below. Hope it helps!!

I hope, WV in the address above stands for WEST VIRGINIA. [Correct]

Also this is a good checklist. Use it to ensure you're sending everything. http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks/identity-history-summary-request-checklist-1

If you can afford it, please send your application by some tracking (e.g. FedEx). At least you will know your application has reached. They do not open applications for about 2 months after you send it, so you need to be sure. Finally, though they do not open your application and charge you the fee for about 2 months, they can pull up your envelope using the tracking e.g. if you forget to send something, you can try to send it later and quote the tracking number of the first package. If they do not open it, it would not have a FBI Reference number, but it would have a shipping tracking number.

Congrats +1 for the timelines and your support to many folks.

Hi all,

I am going through the painful process of applying for FBI PCC. I got my finger printed but the trouble is there are quite a few white lines (small but clearly visible) in all of them. This is not because my hands are dry, have problems or anything. It has been that way for like forever. The ridges of the fingerprints are still clearly visible. I was told to stay off gluten and the situation would probably get better within a year which I can't afford. I need advice from people who have got their prints accepted or have experience on this matter. Anyone got rejected because of this or got accepted despite of this?

Also is there any email address of FBI so I could use to contact them? thanks for your help!

Thanks a lot rpishere & o_o for your valuable feedbacks. I will request for 2-3 sets of the fingerprint cards.

Thanks again.

Hi TTBN,

If your fingerprints were the same forever I don't think there would be any issue. Hope You have your SSN number. Please quote that in the Form. The FBI searches at the DHS ( Department of Homeland security ) server for your identification. Then they do a search at the data bases of all 50 states and sees if there is any arrest or search with the finger prints sent by you.

If your FP were same earlier , I hope those ridges were there when you entered US.

1)You can write a cover letter explaining your situation.
2)Provide multiple copies of FP done by a professional.
3)Provide your Visa Copy by which you entered. - I know this is not required. But some information to identify you or your finger prints.Since you have a issue.

4) Please send one more application with multiple finger prints with new payment after one or two weeks. Just in case it gets rejected you have a second application in line after one or two weeks. At least you don't have to wait for 14 weeks + 3 weeks delivery time (outside US).

You can tell your local VO that it has been rejected twice, please accept State PCCs or suggest alternatives.

Even I had a second application , just in case the first one gets rejected.

I wish and pray all these does not happen and you get your FBI PCC soon.
