Hello,

I have a question regarding FBI fingerprints. Can someone take his / her own fingerprints on the FBI fingerprinting forms and send it to FBI for the PCC report. Or should the fingerprints be taken by a law agency?

Thanks
Giftsmas
Please don't do that! I did that last Summer and my request was rejected due to low quality of fingerprints. Just use the services of a professional fingerprinting agency so that you save precious time.

Both times I was printed by FP technicians in the law enforcement agency.
The second time that I sent my report, I sent two sets of prints.

So basically, 3 sets of prints have been rejected now.
A Canada-based law enforcement agency?! On an FD-258?! Please provide details as I'm concerned now!!

Brother, I got myself into a similar situation like yours. Actually, just two weeks after submitting my document, I did not recall if I had signed the cc payment form or not so I went ahead asking them what to do, here is their response.

Liaison, Liaison
Dec 11

to me
Good Afternoon,

It will take 8 to 10 weeks for the request to clear the FBI security process before we are able to see the request in our system. You may visit our website at fbi.gov/checks. On the right, under Forms and Links, you may print off the credit card form. Please fill this out, include your full name, the original mailing address, your contact information and your signature. You may fax this to 304-625-9792 or scan and email to this address. If we receive the request and it is insufficient, it will be placed on hold until we receive the updated payment. Once we receive the payment it will start the processing date over again. If you send the payment in at this time, before your request clears security, the information can be updated and no delay will take place. Even if you sent in the payment with the original request, and send the fax, you will not be changed twice. Thank you!

So... I sent them another payment form via email address and they confirmed they forwarded that to the processing department.

Which email did you use? Also, did you get a response saying your payment info has been updated?

I have mailed requesting acknowledgment of change of address to " liaison @ leo . gov" (with out spaces) and got a reply from them the same day. Hence you can use the same.

Hi All,

Also based on current timelines, when the PCC will be received? Thanks.

My application was received by FBI on 22.10. I called to check on the status of fingerprints and I was told by an FBI agent to call back next week. They are opening requests received on 16.10.

Voila!

Hi AMYAINDIA,

Based on the current trends you can only know if your fingerprints has been received by FBI after Jan 20 . May be in the 1st week of march your C C will be charged. You might get your report done around Feb 15 end. Previously the wait time was 12 weeks in their website. Then they used to take 13 weeks or 3 months. Now they have mentioned 14 weeks. So it might take a little more than 3 months. This is what I am guessing. Hope you get it sooner.

Hi all,

At what stage cic will ask for PCC? Is it after medicals?

Hi canadaba,

It depends on the local VO. I would rather say it is case to case basis. I got medical , PCC, RPRF all in one email from NDVO. However there are others who got only medical first , a few days later PCC request and so on.
