Hi All,

Called up FBI and the current processing date is 22nd Sep.
Also they are closed beginning 4:30 pm 24th Dec and will reopen on 29th Dec 8:00 am and again they will be closed 4:30 pm 31st Dec and reopen on 2nd Jan 8:00 am.

FYI, I have requested change of address from Indian address to US address and they have acknowledged the same with in 24 hrs.

Is there any current member on the forum, who has send local police clearance certificate from US while waiting for FBI clearance certificate? Does Visa officer accept that as an alternative?

About local police certificates, some of the forum members sent state PCC but so far no confirmation from CIC whether that is ok or not.

I got my extension for 30 days but seems like based on the current speed I would not be able to make that deadline either.

Has anybody else faced same issue on the forum? Have they got another extension?

I am tensed, this FBI certificate is killing me.

Yes, with the current trend you are unlikely to get the FBI PCC before Jan 26 Currently Sept 22 is being analysed and late October guys credit card is charged.

Please make a documentation like application acknowledgement and credit card charge statement (i guess will be charged around first week of Jan 2015), attach them part of the extension request to VO.

They are aware of the FBI issue and will give extension.

BTW, what is your VO?

You can send it and no harm trying. You can also say that your FBI PCC is in process, you will produce that later

I am in kind of strange situation and hoping to get an idea of my timelines for FBI to complete my PCC would be . Posting it here to see if anyone is/was in the same boat and find out their experience.

My PCC application initially reached FBI on 2nd October 2014. But when FBI tried to charge my CC, it was declined(unfortunately, my credit card company issued a new CC in between because of some fraudulent attacks on their systems). As expected, I got a letter back from FBI asking to submit a new payment form on 17-Nov-2014. And, I submitted a new form with new credit card information on 21-Nov-2014. My Credit card was charged on 08-Dec-2014.

CC Charged : 08-Dec-2014


Now I am confused if I my target timeline of 12-14 weeks will start from 21-Nov or 2-Oct...I tried calling FBI, but is not getting a straight answer. I already got the PCC request from CPC-O and last date for submission is 20-FEB-2015.. ??? ??? ???

Lesson Learnt/Advise to fellow future applicants: never use a credit card for these type of transactions when you have an option of submitting DD/Money order.. we never know when CC company changes it.. :-(

I do not have any knowledge on similar situation, worst case you may have to ask for extension from CPC-O. Dont worry about this as many guys got extensions in the past.

If it comes earlier, it is good.

Brother, I got myself into a similar situation like yours. Actually, just two weeks after submitting my document, I did not recall if I had signed the cc payment form or not so I went ahead asking them what to do, here is their response.

It will take 8 to 10 weeks for the request to clear the FBI security process before we are able to see the request in our system. You may visit our website at fbi.gov/checks. On the right, under Forms and Links, you may print off the credit card form. Please fill this out, include your full name, the original mailing address, your contact information and your signature. You may fax this to 304-625-9792 or scan and email to this address. If we receive the request and it is insufficient, it will be placed on hold until we receive the updated payment. Once we receive the payment it will start the processing date over again. If you send the payment in at this time, before your request clears security, the information can be updated and no delay will take place. Even if you sent in the payment with the original request, and send the fax, you will not be changed twice. Thank you!

Let us know if you have received your FBI PCC in Hand. I along with you is a 16th Sep applicant. I came to know it is completed. I called yesterday and they confirmed me that it would be mailed by yesterday ( 24/11/2014). I hope it would be the same for you guys as well.

Has anyone used the services of Worldwide Forensic Services, Mississauga, ON for fingerprinting for FBI PCC?
On their website they say that they will take electronic fingerprints and get it printed on FD-258 using a FBI certified printer.

Is there anyone here who has done so, and his/her prints were accepted by FBI?

Yes I did!
But I used Scarborough's services, not Mississauga's.
An yes, they took my fingerprints electronically.
I still don't know whether they were accepted or not as my request reached the FBI on Oct. 6th.
However, I used another agency's services as well (Commissionaires - Old Toronto), took another set of ink fingerprints, and sent it along with the other one in the same request. Hope this helps.
