Hi All,

I'm October 20th applicant for FBI PCC, today I called FBI and I was handled by a rude lady who said she would not bother checking into the system until its 2 months.

I have had plenty of them. The last time two different people refused to tell me which date they were currently processing. I think they are opening applications in early Oct, so wait for a few more weeks.

Your real question to them should be: What is the receipt date of the applications they are currently opening/entering into their system? Only when they give you a date after Oct 20, would they look into the system for you. Otherwise your application is certainly not in the system, so that's why the lady did not look.

For FBI PCC they will process the application in 11th week. If your finger print accepted you will get the report on 12th week. So, Plan accordingly.

So subho1984 did you get your report. You seem to be in the 13th week from Aug 22?

I see a lot of pain in getting the PCC from fbi.
With the % of rejection being high..

Has anyone been able to get a successful PR, by using ONLY the State PCC?

I live in NY and I get a NY PCC - for which they do fingerprinting too.
They process the same in 10 days.

Now the BIG deal is will CPC-O accept the state certificates?

I applied for FBI PCC on 1st OCt 2014

Application reached 3rd Oct 2014

Got CC charged 20th Nov.

Any idea how much time it will take to get PCC?

Thanks.

with current speed, probably 1st or 2nd week of january.

Thank you for the information. I'd say about 12 to 13 weeks from the date of application. Keep an eye on this thread. When others who have sent their application in the second half of Sept, start getting theirs, you will know that yours is coming down the tube soon.

Dears,

I called FBI Customer care now. They said, my fingerprints rejected due to poor quality. After waiting for 3 months, I got this news. I got extension to submit PCC from NDVO till 21 Dec. It looks like, I need to do all again.

Any suggestion to expediete.

Sorry to hear about this airan. At this point of time the first thing you need to do is quickly raise a CSE explaining your details. You can give a copy of the rejection letter from FBI. There are people in this thread who has got extension and i hope you would get the same.
While raising a CSE ask them if they would accept State PCCs.

Immediately send another request to FBI with multiple finger prints. Get it done by a professional. Additionally get your state PCCs. Just in
case it works out .

I have a whatsapp group for FBI PCC. In case you wish to join please message me your number.

Also please share your timelines for your rejected finger prints. At least we will know which date they have processed.

Found this on their webiste: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/united-states.asp

Do I need to provide a police certificate when applying for permanent residence?

Yes, Applicants should provide a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) certificate with fingerprints. State certificates may also be requested. The Visa Office will advise you if state certificates are required in your case.

I have read many old cases on this forum where VO has accepted State Clearances as an "alternative".. When someone is unable to get FBI report bcos of bad fingerprints/slow response from FBI.. But this should be put accoss to the VO nicely - with proof of submission to FBI and other other communication with them..

Instead of panicking, and cursing FBI in the waiting period.. I have gone ahead and got these in.. SO should anyone whos in the same boat

Good Luck..!!

I dont think there is a person who have done this , i havent met or red about anybody in this form who has done that , but logically this must be accepted by cic or atleast it could be accepted to start the processing of your application and later on you can promise them to bring FBI

did you reach the deadline to submit pcc or you still have time ? if that's the case i would advise you to send the state pcc and try your luck and in the same time apply for FBI pcc

just a question , could you please tell me how could someone living outside usa get new york state pcc ? thanks
