60 days extension? thats quite great .. thanks for the info .. but My VO is cpp-O i am not sure when they will reply me back :( .. my deadline is jan 10 :(
I'm curious how you contacted the CPC-O. I sent them an email and they responded in a week giving me the extension. Also if your deadline is Jan 10, then you don't send the request right now i.e. send it in the second half of Dec at the earliest.

I did it through the approved FBI channeler( both FBI and state) just a back up plan just in case my Ink application get rejected.they did not mention anything about not accepting international people and got the result in 5 days( i did on Monday and I got the result on Saturday through USPS mail)
hey, can i ask how much the channeler cost? and when you say you got the results in 5 days - are these the results good to go as a requirement? they don't send your prints to the fbi anymore?

At the bottom of PCC email there will be an email address for inquires. This is where I sent the extension request to the CPC-O. (Yes, it is the same email address you get the PCC request.) Ensure you don't hit reply. Ensure that you create a new message with a new title, and it should have your name and date of birth. Finally, in about an hour you should receive an automated acknowledgement - if you receive this then you are good. Just wait for a week.

Even I too need to know about this. The state Department of Motor Vehicles e.g. http://dmv.ny.gov/ does not seem to do this. Did you do it your local state DMV? (I assume that's what you meant by BMV??)

By the way if you are a citizen then Channelers accept it. As far as the prices http://www.myfbireport.com/ offers the report for $40. Yes, I talked to them and they confirmed that they send the fingerprints through the same FBI system, and their report is identical. However they don't accept it if you are not a citizen or green card holder.

Even pharm is not a citizen too. That's really why I am curious how he got it done. I spoke to two of the FBI Channlers, and they both said they will not do it. The FBI website also has this information i.e. http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks/fbi-approved-channelers

Anyway, even if you have never been to the US you can still get a FBI report. So how long you have been in the US does not matter, and it isn't even asked.

The cost for FBI was $35 and BCI ( state) was $30. The cost can vary from place to place. Their mission to submit your fingerprint electronically on your behalf to FBI

I am NOT US citizen. They Never asked me whether I am US citizen or not. I said I did it at my local driver license agency. You can Google it your place and the availability of this type of service.

Would it be okay to go to a fingerprinting services company rather than a police station to have my fingerprints taken?

I don't see why a fingerprinting services company should be a problem. It is not mentioned anywhere that you should do it at a Police Station. (In fact I know some outside the US who did the fingerprinting themselves.) On the other hand, a Police Station is usually your cheapest option in the US. This makes more sense if you want multiple fingerprints like we do. In my opinion you can go ahead with the fingerprinting services company.

Thank you for the information. It seems like you are in Utah (guess??) My state unfortunately does not have this. I asked them. The people at the DMV did not even know that the state provides a criminal background check. They thought that only each city did that of it's own.
