I'm aware of only one such case which is really strange and could have been a mistake on the officer's part. FBI is not optional, it is a mandatory document.

Hi Greencard,

I am the one case you are referring. I dont think it is a mistake on the officer's part as my consulting agent informed them of the delay. My passport request came as early as October but since I still have to request the FBI clearance, my consulting agent sent them notice of the possible delay due to the FBI Clearance.

In December, I got a notice through my agent that they are now requiring my passport and submit without fail. We complied to submit. All documents have been sent through the consulting agent.

So saying that it was a mistake is not a fair statement because we do not know what had transpired or if my FBI clearance has been submitted at a later part. Besides that, I did not only submit State PCC, I also submitted from other countries. Which may have shown that I have no criminal records and that I am of good standing.. FYI as well.. I have been in and out of Canada... Have renewed my tourist visa a couple of times as well.. So I guess... it was not a mistake

Can anyone please advise on how much time FBI will take for credit card charge after the application is delivered.

My package was delivered on December 2nd and CC was charged on February 25th.

Just talked FBI agent. Mine received on Nov 14th. They are going to mail the reports tomorrow morning. Hopefully I will get it next next 4-7 days.

Varunraj : When did your CC got charged? Have you given the US local address for delivery?

Hi Guys,
I sent my FBI PCC request and was delivered on Feb 6th. My Credit Card had a fraud charge yesterday and the bank blocked that card and issued a new one. What is the best way to deal with this and update the new card info to the FBI ?

Thanks

Guys,

I received the Police report from my home country in the format below:

TO whom it may concern!

This is to certify that Mr./s…(personal information here…) has no adverse record against here till this date.

Is this the correct format?

Not sure if this will work.

please suggest!

My PCC was mailed out by FBI on 24th Feb to US address, I have not received it yet. My wife's was mailed the same day and she received it on Friday. Anyone else experienced delay in receiving of PCC in united states.

Any comments ??? anyone experienced delay??

Just got off the phone with FBI. Our second set of applications were received on 11/11 (first set was not legible by their system).
This time my wife's prints were accepted but mine have been rejected again!!

Timeline:
First set received: 08/09
Received letter for bad prints: 10/28
Second set received: 11/11
Wife's report mailed: 02/27
My prints considered faulty again

What irks me is that both times the prints were taken by a technician at the local PD and each set had 2 copies, each separately taken. Guess I have to start my 16 week process all over again. So frustrating ???

did you apply for extension again?? did you get extension in submitting the PCC???

I'm still at PER to MR stage (timeline on left). Haven't had the chance to ask for an extension yet.

Nothing to worry brother. Just go to fbi site, download the payment form, input your new credit card then print and signed it. Scan this signed form and send to fbi suport email. Everything will be fine as i did the same and that is what they instructed me.

Notice that you must do this quickly as if your app get cleared their security process. If you send the form that time the whole security process will restart all over again.

Hope this help.

I will do that as soon as I receive my New Card. Since my form was just received on Feb. 6 , I think I've some time , before they will even open my application. Do you have FBI support email by any chance ?

Thank you

Fill out a new credit card form. Send them an explanation letter along with it. they will use the updated info to charge. Do it ASAP though.
