Family class sponsorship

Hi Team, is anyone on this forum applied for wife’s PR under family class sponsorship with date of submission is july,2022 ? I have below queries:

1. Application status indicates only Background verification not started… does it imply it’s in progress ?
2. Received IMM 5801- pre arrival services on Dec,2022(New Delhi VO)… but yet to get an update on background processing, kindly advise if any expected ETA if any ?

If it's not started then it's not started on GCKey it will either indicate not started or in process. In PR Portal it's the same thing. But sometimes you do get a few odds, like my application eligibility, background are in process in GCKey but not in PR Portal. It's definitely hard and there's no definite way to get an answer unfortunately...

Pre-arrival doesn't mean much, some people get it after or before bio/med some people don't get it at all. This doesn't mean your application has been approved by any means. It's different case by case.
