Processing times here

All cases are different, so actual times vary.

Thanks. I heard that when you have all they ask for and pay the money too that takes alot of time off your process. i actually read where someone got thiers in as little as three months also five months. The average though range from 7 months to 1 year. I hope mine is one of the lucky ones i am getting real anxious since i send my application.

That may be a misunderstanding of the fact that, if you don't send everything in it can delay the process. Which is not the same thing.

As I said, times do vary, all people can do is wait.

Good luck.

Hi JahBee!!!!

Welcome to this forum!!!! You can join us on the Kingston, Jamaica forum here is the link http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/kingstonjamaica-t29680.9195.html (there is lots of us sponsoring our partners from jamaica and there is lots of support on this forum)

As you can see in the link that Baloo sent Immigration canada are stating that the timeline is 16 months but a lot of the applicants lately have been getting through in 7 to 9 months.... Just wanted to add that it appears that if there is children involved and the children are not biologically yours the process may take a little longer. There is other things that may come into play also and could make the process longer such as not submitting original documents (birth certificate and mariage certificate) or even fee for permanent residence.

I hope this helps!

just a little heads up I had send everything but the original birth certificate of my husband and my original mariage certificate and I have been waiting for more than 9 mths... They requested the original documents in november

Kingston high commission called my hubby on feb. 3 to let him know they were finalizing but they had misplaced his medical and asked him for the MD number that is on the medical hubby provided the lady with it and she let him know she would call back shortly for passport drop off and we haven't heard nothing since then... I ordered the caips and medical file last week to try to get some answers as to what is happening with my file

Hang in there its not an easy process but there is lots of great people on this forum that understand :)
