Hi,

If there is already a post about what I will ask just refer it to me. I have a girlfriend from El Salvador since 2 years and she arrived in Canada in July 2018 with the common goal of getting the common law status to aim sponsorship. Now we arrive at the point where she needs to ask for an extension of stay.

Just before getting here she got a multiple entry visa of 2 years.

I've heard a lot things:
-It is better not to mention your goal is to sponsor her.
-People need to write in their letters that they will LEAVE Canada after the time addition.
-If I write a letter of invitation I must mention she will leave Canada after.
-Do I simply write a letter stating I'm taking care of her, but not mentioning the sponsorship.

You see there are a lot of combination. I would like to know if someone can lead me for this situation. We will need to do a second extension and at the same time do the sponsorship application.

Thank you for your help.

It's best to say that you are extending her status so that you can achieve a year of living together to be qualified as common law so that you can sponsor her for PR. Include proof that you are able/willing to support her financially. When people do this, extension refusals are extremely rare.
