Extension of entry/landing date in Visit Visa

Hello,

I am wondering if I can extend the entry/landing date of my parent's visit visa?
If my parents will not be able to land within 6 months after issuance of visa, then fresh visa application is required, or there is any possibility of extending the entry/landing date by paying fees/charges?

I managed to spoke with IRCC call center (wait time 30 mins), and they confirmed the same.

if you have valid VISA you can travel anytime before the expiry date ... no need to travel exactly on the dates you mentioned in your application....

My parents traveled after two years of their visa approval ( their VISA was approved until the passport expiry with multiple entry )

I am really surprised to see IRCC call center response you mentioned above...

I agreed with you. This is what IRCC call center agent told me. There is no specific expiry period of Visit Visa, it depends on Visa Officer to decide the expiry. It might be less or more than 6 months, or till the expiry date of passport (like in your case)

is you parents visa expiring soon, in less than 6 months ?

if not , why you are concerned about extension now ? more over , Visitor status extension cant be done from outside Canada ( only while visiting , that too cant apply for it until it reach's one month expiry period ). ....
