Thank you for your replies!

One more question, do i need to obtain a Canadian police certificate and fingerprints? It says: "You will be advised if you are required to obtain a police certificate for Canada."
Hahaha, you have answer yourself.

No you don't.

Hi

Is it enough if my IELTS exam is valid by the time of submitting the application (post-ITA phase) or does it have to be valid throughout the whole procedure until the final decision of permanent resident status? (It expires this year and since the decision making process is approximately half a year, IELTS will expire before decision.)

Hi,

I have shared my reference letters for 2 jobs which cover my 3 years of workex for which I have claimed my maximum points. I haven't submitted my reference letters for job 3 and 4 as the company was not willing to give it....is that cause for concern?

This is ok. It only needs to be valid when you submit your application.

Have you already submitted your application? If not, it's fine, just move 3 and 4 to personal history. Make sure that you remain eligibility on the six selection factors.

Hi Guys, need your suggestions on my below query:

My score is 421 and got ITA last month. In EE profile I mistakenly selected job offer as YES but however due to other details in that section I was not awarded 50 pts for arranged employment, can I change the job offer to NO in eAPR in order to skip the document upload part for this section? Pls advise

IMO, if this does not affect your CRS, a LOE would suffice.

Good luck
My situation is similar:

Guys I need your advise on this;

My work permit doesn't have NOC code in it but the occupation mentioned over there falls under example title of another NOC (2173), but my earlier work permit application through my employer and also current reference letter from employer has NOC 2171, for which I have claimed points. Is it perfectly fine?

Dear Folks,

I need your kind advise on some issue that I have encountered. Sorry for my questing being a bit long.

I have finished my PhD program from a Canadian university in January 2017. Now, I have applied for Express Entry and went to the pool, but the score of my Canadian degree does not appear on my profile, which has to be 30 points.

I also have evaluated my Master degree that I have received from my home country by WES and added that to my profile.

Only the score of my evaluated master degree which is 15 points comes to my score, but my Canadian PhD degree does not show up.

Could you kindly let me know your experience and help me to resolve the problem?!

Thanks all.

Hi,

You can change it to No and use your LOE to explain that you had selected Yes in error. This wont be an issue since you were not awarded any points for this.

All the best

It's all on the CIC site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

But...

(Please note that this info does not apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program)

1) Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language.

How does CLB match back to the language tests? That info is here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp

3) Get your qualifications assessed by doing an Education Credential Assessment. Details here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC.

5) When you have those in hand you create your express entry profile. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp and register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng

You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/pool.asp

Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp

For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points.

6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following:

a) Have your application fee (C$550 each for principal applicant and spouse) and right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp

b) Identify how you will provide proof of funds http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

c) check out what is required for the police certificates http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

d) find out how long it takes to get a date for the medical exam. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count.

f) research cities in the province(s) where you want to live.

Hi,

1) It is optional for your spouse to take the IELTS test and have an ECA done, however, it contributes a total of 40 points to your score.
2) You have the option of applying with a non accompanying spouse, however, it may take time for you to be able to sponsor her once you are in Canada. Furthermore, you will still be required to include her in your funds, present her passport, do her medicals and police clearance.

All the best

Dear Tanaka,

Thank you for your explanation.

Do you know the breakup of 40 points as you mentioned in your email .

Regards,Danny

Is it necessary to wait for the IELTS markssheet to create EE and waiting for ITA or we can apply as soon as we get the results online?

You have to wait for your certificate, because you will be asked to provide some details that are on it.
