Hello , if the university is not listed with WES but attested by the ministry of higher education , do they still asses that certificate
This is what WES says about a university/institution not listed on their website 'The WES Degree Equivalency Tool includes degrees awarded by recognized degree-granting institutions around the world. Our database is continuously updated. If your degree or institution is not currently listed, you may still apply for a WES credential evaluation and the evaluation team will research your credential.'

Please note in addition to WES there are also other institutions designated by CIC for ECA. They are listed below.
- Comparative Education Service: University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies,
- International Credential Assessment Service of Canada,
- International Qualifications Assessment Service, and
- International Credential Evaluation Service.

Hello All,

Can someone please guide me. I am creating my EE profile. I came to canada on a student visa. I got a JOB in NOC B during my studies. i started working for that company in march 2015 as a part timer (working 16 hrs per week). i finished my studies in April 2015. starting may 2016 i continued my JOB as a full timer. I applied for my PGWP in May 2015 and got it in Sep 2015.

So my question is what do i fill in the work history profile?? Should i mention my 2 months work experience or not as a part time work as i become qualified to practice in that profession in May 2015. In my employment letter it says i started working for this company from march 2015 or is it the date i recieved my work permit??

Can someone please guide me.
Work experience gained (full-time/part-time) while on a study permit in Canada cannot be used to claim points. Even though you started work much before you got your work permit, you can claim points for the experience only from the time you got your work permit.

Hi Khakan,

How long did it take for the WES reports to come ?

Thanks and Regards,
Chiran
The assessment takes about 20 business days and once the evaluation is completed, you will receive the hard copy of the report mailed to you within 7-10 days. Meanwhile, you can download your report from the portal and use it to create your Express Entry profile.

Thanks a lot for your reply, but my case is complicated as I have two bachelors. The second one got attested by WES and I submitted my EE file. I lately came to know about ICAS and was informed that I can't submit two evaluation reports from different institutions.

Even if the institution from which you got your second Bachelors is not listed on WES site, you can still send it to them for evaluation.

Thanks Stanlee. On a side note, I wanted to point that this is a part time degree pursued during my employment. Should that going to create a hiccup when creating the EE profile , declaring education details ?

Thanks for the info. One more question. When we complete our profile and submit it, does it shows us how many points we have scored??

Hello,

My wife is going to take IELTS next month. So her score will be valid till june 2018, but her passport is expiring in 2017. Will there be any problem in validating IELTS score with new passport while test was written with old passport?

Hi,
I have a question about work experience outside of Canada,
When I was phD student in Bacteriology in my country Iran, I was offered an internship program in the USA, on different subject than my thesis, Mycology. It was a full time internship for 12 months, and fully founded by the US university. I asked for one year leave from my university and went to the states to experience working on a new subject. I was working 35 hr per week for 13 months.

Now I just want to know is it considered as a work experience outside of Canada guys?

I would be very appreciated if any one share theotlr thoughts with me!
Regards

Hello Experts;

I need some advice on creating profile for express entry. I have one year of foreign work experience but I forgot to mention that while applying my study permit (2012) and work permit (2014) in Canada. Now if I mention this foreign work experience in the express entry profile will that generate any query during the review of my file? I have all the documents related to my previous experience. Experts please advise.
