COPR received. journey finally over.... phew.... All the best to those still waiting

Hi .. Congrats on COPR ... did you get your passport stamped and did they give you medical extension and your landing date has been extended beyond medical expiry date?

not sure what you mean by security screening. explain

There are two types of security, normal security and (security screening - or - SS). Applications under SS usually take much longer to process and that is why all of us here who have applied in November are still waiting for PPR.

The only way to know whether you are under SS or not is by ordering GCMS notes. If you have received GCMS notes in the recent past, can you please check it and see if you see the term (security screening) under the (SUB ACTIVITIES) section. You can check this link below to see what it usually looks like and where it is written (bottom of the page here):

His ip2 started on Aug 9 and ppr on Aug 12. There is close to zero chance of ss in such a timeline

True, if his IP2 was so close to PPR, then he certainly was not under SS. Congratulations to him all the same.

Hello everyone. I need help. I sent my e-APR on 4th May and till now my only medicals got cleared(9th June) and plus still reviewing the eligibility.

Is their processing speed normal ? or should I contact them ?

How much time it takes to clear the eligibility and when background will start ?

It is too early for you to panic! Eligibility could take several months to pass. Mine passed after 5 months. It usually takes less than 5 months, but you should be patient and wait it out another month or so.

Thanks for the reply.... Can we say once eligibility is passed , chances of rejection become less ??

Usually, after eligibility passes, your application status changes to (in progress) and a short while after that you will receive PPR, that is assuming you do not get selected for (security screening -or- SS). If you are unlucky enough to get selected for SS (like the rest of us here), then you will have to wait for at least another six months until your application is cleared. For now, just sit back and relax and hopefully you will get your PPR before the normal 6 month processing time.

So if I'm in progress since 18th of May I shouldn't expect anything before end of the year?!
