But My medical is not passed yet. Is it normal?

Hi guys,

Need some advice.

I am an inland CEC applicant and I got my AOR on Nov 18 and nothing has changed after that. Now my passport expires on May 7, 2017 so need to apply for the renewal. Also I am planning to travel to India in Feb, 2017 so will need to apply for the Canadian visa before that (I am here on a work permit). The passport renewal takes about 6-8 weeks to process. My question is that if I apply for my passport now (so will get the new one by Feb 2017), is there any step from CIC where they might ask for my passport during this time? And if they do then can I tell them that I have submitted it for renewal?

If you get PPR in the meantime, you can respond to your PPR e-mail/raise a CSE mentioning that your PP is under renewal and you would require XX more days to submit your Passport. This is a reasonable request IMO.

Hi Guys,

I applied on Nov 7 th got AOR on Nov 8th and BG changed to NS from NN on the same day and again it changed form NS to NN after two weeks. After that there is no change and no update.

I haven't paid the RPRF fees and i havent got any request for the same. Anyone with similar timeline.

I'm based in Riyadh, and the above para now means London is my VO. The total application time from AOR is 1 month and 1 week.

Guys while the PPR letter states that I need to submit my passports to the riyadh VFS office, I noticed a slot has opened up on myCIC portal requesting passport documents. Do i need to upload something in this slot or not because in the letter it mentions that those who are EXEMPT from visa requirements to Canada need to upload passport bio page copies on myCIC. I am NOT EXEMPT from Canadian visa but do I need to upload anything in this slot by 21 Jan 2017??

Additionally, I have a question:

My passport will expire in late 2017. I intend to renew it before PPR, which I expect will (hopefully) happen sometime in March-April. I intend to send a CSE. In the (Type of application/enquiry), I will choose (Replacement documents, amendments to documents and Verification of status documents). In the enquiry box, I will explain that I have renewed my passport and wanted to inform them. I will fill out the remaining cells as required. Is this the correct procedure of informing them about my new passport? Moreover, I see no place to attach a file (new passport). If I click next (can't do it now because I haven't filled out the form yet), will there be a place for me to attach the new passport? If not, how can I send them a scanned-copy of the first page of the new passport?
