Express Entry - e-APR Submitted in November 2016

Hi All,

I received the ITA on 2nd Nov 2016 and submitted application on 4th Dec 2016. I received an acknowledgement post submission and fee receipt in PDF format.
Is that the AOPR, or there is any other document I should expect?
Also, what is the next stage, I did my medicals on 12 Nov, would they be updated soon?

Hi All,

As you are aware from my previous posts, my wife was asked to have additional medical tests. We met with the Panel Physician today at CMM Hyderabad. The Doctor was very kind and helpful and assured us that there may not be anything to worry about. Since my wife had a lung infection more than 10 years back, a very minute scar still seemed to appear in the chest xray. This is the reason they have asked for the additional sputum and smears test to confirm that its not active TB. The PP advised us to provide a early morning sputum sample for 3 consecutive days at a different diagnostic center who will then forward these reports to CMM. I was a bit surprised to know that the test results will take about 8 weeks. The PP also said that my wife should appear for another x-ray on 5-Feb-2017 (exactly 2 months from now). I have not yet submitted my e-APR yet. I am planning to submit once we give the sample for 3 days. But I am not sure how this will effect my application. Will my application see any progress or will it be on hold untill my wife's meds are passed. Is there any one else on this thread or forum with a similar issue?

Can you tell when did your background check status changed from NN-NS and NS-NN ?

Hello Raj, I my bg status changed from not started to not needed at this time on 21.11.2016 and medical also passed on the same date. Now i have two questions.

1. Does this mean that file has been transferred to NDVO?
2. I have not received any e-mail from CIC on or before or after 21.11.2016 is it normal?
3. If I apply for notes today, i will receive the same after 30 to 40 days, now my notes will be updated till today or on on a later date?

since 21.11.2016 nothing has changed. I have not submitted schedule 4 so no mail for same as well.

No. Before the file is tranfered from CIO to NDVO, R10+PCC+MEDS+ECA+IELTS TRF is checked any made sure that everything is ok.

After that file is transfered to ottawa visa office for A11.2 checks and Criminality checks and POF checks.

If both these checks pass, then your file is transfered from Ottawa central office to NDVO or other LVO.

You only submit Schedule 4 only if CIC asks it from you.

In some post i have read that the bg status changes from not started to not needed when you R10 is over. My medical and rest all is fine. Also i am a PNP applicant, so may be R10 is over.
Can you please help me with my second question. i have not received any e-mail from CIC as my status changed twice. Is it normal.

About BKG Status change: my BKG status changed from NN-NS on Dec 1 and from NS-NN on Dec 2. Both these changes took place in about 54 hours.


You dont get an email from CIC for BKG Status change. I also didnt get any email.

Once you get aghost mail from CIC, then you can say that your R10 and A11.2 checks are done and ok and your fioe is transfered to NDVO or LVO.

Can anybody clarify, if I need to put my biological father's name in family info. It has been 3 decades since my mom's separation and we haven't kept any contact with him since then. Plus I have absolutely no idea about his DOB / DOD.

But I have filled in my step-dad's details.

"Review of submitted documents" changed from blank to "No additional documents are needed at this time". I hope that is a good sign.
