BG went from InProgress to Not Needed at this time on Jan 17th. still the same.
I am CEC-Inland.

It should go InProgress very soon i suppose.

Hi seniors,

Can you plz advise me what to do with my case.

PNP nomination received and PR applied on Dec 31st , 2016.

Medicals and PCC( India) submitted
Emigration Fee Paid
Medicals passed
On 17tH Jan CIC requested an additional document – Malaysia PCC ( since PCC is applicable only for countries traveled in last 5 years &stayed >6months,I thought it’s not required because my stay in Malaysia was between 2010 July -2011 Dec , but after that I frequently traveled Malaysia official /personal but not more than a month. Though CIC has given 60 days’ time for me to submit Malaysia PCC , my worry is about Ielts which is going to expire on 14th March.

I understood that Malaysia PCC is taking 1-2 months’ time, for which I was told that I can submit my acknowledgement receipt to CIC in worse case if I couldn’t get the PCC within 60 days and request them for additional time ( is it correct?) will the case officer provide me extra time ? please advise. If so, is my ielts still valid or do I need to submit new one.

And do i need to wait for 60days or can i send the PCC apllication aknolwdgement before 60days to CIC to save time?

AD requested on 17th Jan
Time available to submit AD is till 17th March
Ielts expiry date is 14th March.

I know already posted a query about my Ielts expiry issue but that was before CIC requesting AD on Malaysia PCC.

on the positive side, you are not required to have Ielts again. Ielts need to be valid at the time of application.
going to you PCC, thats your sheer mistake, it is clearly mentioned in the website applicant travelling accumulates to more than 6 months to any specific country then they need to provide PCC for that country . But you are lucky have not got rejected since some of the other members here got rejected due to the PCC missing.I would suggest you wait another 30 days and send a follow up email to the Malaysian police and based on the reply on the application status i would suggest you can forward the email you received from them and also ask for extension. One of my friend got a 30 day extension on this application when he called them and informed them about the situation.

I got the update in my application finally. It took 66 days after my medical went to passed.

Today it is showing my background check is in progress.... finally a big relief for me.....

here is my time line.....

Review of submitted documents No additional documents are needed at this time
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed In Progress (27th Jan-2017)

P.S. Does anyone have any idea how long does it take to process to the application in Cairo office?
Found some old threads that it took 14-15 months for some applicants and my migraine started to work. lol

Hello friends,
I have a small query. I filed my application on 14.11.2016
Now I see on this forum that every stamped page of passport has to uploaded. Mine is a blank passport as I have never travelled outside my home country. As I have procured PCC twice, there are two stamps on my passport for PCC. Should I also upload them by raising CSe or is it fine without PCC stamping.
I have sent the PCC with my application, so they know that I have a valid PCc.

I think you should be fine. But still you feel it is not OK, you can raise a CSE, there is no harm in doing so.
