Hi All,

I completed my flag polling at Rainbow bridge today. This was smoothest. I reached the bridge around 8 AM. I walked to the US end where the US officer asked my purpose of arrival. Before I could have said anything, he himself said "Are you here for flag poling". I just said yes.

He then issued me a admin refusal latter in just 2 mins, and asked me to follow the same way back to Canada. When I reached Canada check point, again there was no one except me and an officer. The Canada process took only 10 mins more.

Awesome!! Could you please tell me what paperwork you took for flag poling? Other than the documents you received from CIC off course.

Did they hand you any paperwork that says how long before you can apply for Citizenship?

Thank you and Congratulations!!

US officer did not ask for anything. The Canadian officer asked for bank statements only.
Apart for COPR no other document was handed over.

Strange thing is that he did not take my existing work permit. He told me to apply for Permanent SIN and OHIP

Ecas went from Application received (since April 28) to in process today after submitting schedule A 2 days ago. I hope the good news come soon.

Thank you. I'll take my bank statements too.

I've shown bank statements from Dubai. A couple of questions though;

1) Do I show the same statements I submitted with the application? These were issued in April 2015.
2) If I have to show current statements, would a copy of an online e-statement suffice?

Thank you.

I too carried all my statements. The officer told me to show Canadian statements only.
He told me to not to show Indian statements.

I used copies of eStatements only, but I had got them attested by the bank in Canada

Sorry for the million questions.

Does the Canadian Statement have to show the balance I declared on my application? Or is it just for confirming address?

Do we apply for the PR card at the border or it is a separate process altogether?

I am not sure about the first question. Regarding the second question, the officer told me that I will get a card in 2 months.

I did my landing yesterday at Kingsgate in BC. No questions, done in half an hour. They told me pr card will come in 3 months till it comes I can travel only if I apply for travel document.

My timeline

18 Feb EE Profile
20 Feb ITA CEC single inland applicant
05 Apr Submitted APR
08 Apr AOR
10 Apr ECAS-2lines
14 Apr Applied for BOWP
05 May MyCIC-Medical passed & BG changed in progress
07 May ECAS application/med received-3 lines

13 Jul PPR
14 Jul Sent passport copy (from visa exempt country), biodata and photos to Ottawa
17 Jul mycic got updated to approved
22 Jul received COPR with Issue date 7/17
23 Jul BOWP approved (CIC's joke?)
24 Jul landing at Kingsgate

things, what I was worried about (and have seen others worried), but then they weren't issue. I hope it helps for some to stress less.
-I've changed my POF what I had in my EE profile to less in my APR application
-the dates in ECAS till today are not right
-Ecas again: application received never changed to be in Process
-didn't get any update email in mycic till ppr
-no documents were required
-never got second AOR
-I was under implied status for more than two months, and received my pr earlier, than my BOWP

I cant be thankful enough for everyone on this forum and I hope all of you reach your dreams

Travel Document? When you sent your passport to CIC, didn't they stamp your passport with a VISA? That VISA is used to travel in and out of the country.

Im from visa exempt country so I had to send only copies of my passport and I never got visa. I didnt really look into if I need a travel document for travelling or not as Im not planning to go anywhere in the near future, but thats what the officer told me at the border. If I found out more I will share.

I sent the passport by mistake as I already have Canadian visa and work permit.
I don't think you made a mistake. Persons from Countries that require visas to enter Canada must send their passport to CIC, so that CIC can issue a "single entry immigrant visa" to the applicant, which he or she can use to re-enter Canada if they choose to go to another country and then return for landing. So, what the officer was saying is that, mazzamilam no longer has a entry visa for Canada, so if she/he plans to leave Canada before she/he receives their PR Card, then they need to apply for a travel document.

Hi! have a bit of strange situation here. Yesterday got a mesage on my CIC with the following info:

"E******21
Dear **************
Express Entry Profile:
You are not eligible for Express Entry
To qualify for Express Entry, you must meet the minimum eligibility criteria for the Federal Skilled Worker
Program, and/or the Federal Skilled Trades Program and/or the Canadian Experience Class. Based on your
profile, you do not meet the minimum eligibility criteria for any of these programs. Reasons you would not be
eligible for Express Entry include:
• not having a valid language test
• language test results that are more than two years old
• a language test score that is too low
• not having enough relevant work experience
• not having the required education level
• not having enough funds....."

The THING is - it's NOT my application number. My is - E******25!! :o .
(ITA - 27 mar, AOR - 1 may, ECAS In process since june 17, FSW, outlander.

Before that a had three lines in my cic:
1)E******42 - early profile which i made not elligeble myself (it was my first attempt) (status - Profile Ineligible)
2) E*****25 - Permanent Residency (staus - submitted )
3) E*****25 - Express Entry. Here before this stupid mail status was something like "ITA accepted" and now it's become "not eligible" :o

The questions are:
Why I'm receiving messages with regards to someone's profile??? Will it affect my aplication somehow???
Guys, will be more than thankful for any responce.

Can any one please answer me quickly. I will be sending my passport tomorrow.

In the return envelope , Shall I give my address or my lawyers address because in ecas i see the address of my lawyer?

Write the address that's on your passport request letter. Just to be safe. As long as it is within Canada, it should not be an issue.

I wrote my office address so that I don't miss the package when no one is home.
