Guys,
ITA received Dec4th. And Application submitted on Jan 28th. Medicals not passed yet. All those who submitted along the same lines got the medicals passed status within 2 days. Is it normal that medicals passed takes more than a week.

**** Update **** - Just got the medicals passed message !
Hey, I passed mine around 10 days post AOR. Nothing to worry about as there are a lot of cases where the meds were passed post 20-25 days.

Hi guys,

I am a little confused... I got an email for CIC regarding additional documents (Schedule A) but dont know if it is for me and my spouse both or just my spouse...I am the primary applicant.
Following is the line from the letter:

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the review of your application, we require the following documents:
 XXXXXXXX(some random six digit number) - Spouse Name
 Schedule A: Please use the following link to upload a separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) bearing an original

Please guide me!
Just your spouse, as it says.

I have received AOR in mycic account on Feb 2.
There is not updates since then.
Even i can not see my details on ECAS.
Is it normal?
Yes very normal, give it few weeks before you start to see some movements. In rare cases it would be months. But generally in weeks time you should see updates for Medical results, Schedule A and stuff.

Personally, mine did not show any status change except AOR for first 5 MONTHS. And then in 3 weeks it moved at lightning speed to PPR, Sweet :). I was getting very anxious as well, but in the end it turned out to be whatever it was, system glitch.

Hope this helped.

Perfectly normal. You will probably never get access to ECAS as the seem to have stopped it for EE applicants since we can check status via MyCIC.

Hi everyone,

I have a quick question and I'd be happy to hear your thoughts on this. When CIC requests you to send your passport (s) (following PPR), how much time do they typically give you to do so? In other words, do you have to send it immediately, or they indicate a specific deadline/date by which your passport has to arrive to them?

Thanks!
30 Days and they should provide you details they need along with your passport (pictures and any changes since you filed application). See the sample message below.

"The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, permanent residence visa. If for any reason you are not able to meet this deadline, please inform us immediately by email to: CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca with details concerning your situation. "

Hope this helps.

Guys,
on Feb-11 CIC changed the requirements for the PCC from other countries, now it required if you stayed in a country for TOTAL of six months or more, before it was six months in a row. This is applied to all applications received on or after Jan 1, 2016.

This is strange, No one who submitted an application in January was aware of that.

Will be a risk of rejections?

Guys, do you know how the CIC calculates the 6 months for the need of police certificate?

For example I stayed in Algeria in total 5 months and 20 days. Do they consider the partial month is a month? so I need to provide PCC for Algeria?

Thanks

Hi Minamima,

Where did you get this info that you have to take PCC even if you haven't stayed in a country at a stretch of 6 months???

I just went to the website of CIC again, Here's what it says

Who needs a police certificate?
In general, you and all the people in your family who are 18 or older need to get a police certificate. You must get one from each country or territory where you have lived for six or more months in a row since the age of 18. (For example, if you lived in a country for eight months but left on a two-week vacation, that counts as living there for eight months.)

For the country you currently live in, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before you apply.

For countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country.

If your certificate is in a language other than English or French, send it when you apply, along with the original copy of a translation done by a certified translator.

Link is: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp

I'm concerned, As I have visited US multiple times, if I total it, it is over 6 months, however no single visit is more than 5 months, please suggest if you have any genuine link to this information? I have received my ITA and underway to collect all documents.

Regards

Below is the link, check the police certificate section

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp

Police certificates are required up front and are mandatory for each country (except Canada) where an individual has lived for a total of six months or more. This instruction is for the purpose of the completeness check under section R10. However, it is always at an officer’s discretion to request a new or additional police certificate.

I don't think we know that with certainty nor is it stated any where. But in the absence of any details, common sense indicates it is not 6 months until it is actually 180 days.

At the very least if they have doubts over this, I expect CIC to ask for PC and not refuse for this reason alone. So far despite what every one might think, the refusals only come when applicant missed some thing clearly written in instructions. Unless stated otherwise - 5 months and 20 days is not 6 months.

Hi All,
On 14Feb2016 I crossed 6 months post AOR, No PPR, No ghost mail since August 2015.
Already filed CSE on 12Feb2016. Should I still request for GCMS notes?
please suggest What should I do?

Somewhere I saw if you are PNP applicant it takes more time than FSW applicant.
Is this correct?
Whereas I felt that PNP should get PPR faster bcz they have already done so much of verification.

Also, on forum I found that due to Syrian Refugee immigration, CIC has got lot of backlogs due to which now its taking somewhere from 6 to 9 months duration.

I am an Outland Applicant
VO: New Delhi
I had received nomination from Nova Scotia Demand Express Entry which enabled me to get ITA.
NOC: 2172
AOR: 14Aug2015
Medical cleared:15Aug2015
Addl. Doc Provided(Schedule 4 Form):18Aug2015

MyCIC Status as on Feb 15, 2016 : Application/profile details

Where is this application? Details
Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents Provided
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed Not Started
Final decision Not Started

Thanks,

ITA on Dec 18th

Submitted eAPR Feb 14th

AOR Feb 14th

Awaiting further results, I have completed a Upfront Medical Exam and submitted my PCC from India

I am inland FSW

Praying for quick processing as my degree is Canadian, work exp Canadian and currently living here

My mother transferred me around $21,000 CAD (10 lakh rupees) for proof of funds and along with my bank letter I provided a LOE with a gift deed certificate.

Hope all goes smoothly, this PR process has been ongoing for months and months and I just want to get it out of the way and end this uncertain status with some permanency

I think it's time to order a GCMS, hope by that time you will get PPR mail! Did they ask for further details or schedule A or have you any refusal or travel history which needs more time to checking!
