Hello canadaxprs,
I am also in Canada and a Customer of TD. I went to my bank and asked to speak with a senior person as I wasn't getting anywhere with tellers/customer service Rep, I printed out the requirements of the letter and took it with me and gave it to them asking that they follow same when doing the letter.

See below letter info:
If you are applying for permanent residence in Canada, you must provide an official letter issued by your financial institution indicating your financial profile.

Your financial profile includes a listing of all your bank (chequing and savings) and investment accounts. The official letter must be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution and must include your name, the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and e-mail address), the account numbers, dates of when each account was opened and the balance of each account over the previous 6 months.

You must scan all proof of funds documents and save them as one file

I usually dont dwell on a topic that is not that crucial "weekend work by CIC - true of false" as this wont effect my status in a positive or negative way, but I think I have to clarify few things: GCMS is a system that is put in so a fraud is detected upfront and yes as Jaffa said accessed by all VO and CIO (for example your work experience in Canada if you are applying under CEC has to be backed up by a work permit in the data base - meaning that you can get a thousand letter from company A and B and C to claim your experience, if that experience was in a context of CO-OP, open work permit doing off campus while you were studying full time in a university, you will be caught and you will be denied to claim that experience - this is not an assumption, you can find it on CIC website - where they have provided manual for officers who are processing paper - and this manual is also open for public for gaining information perhaps). Now going back to VO accessing each other, perhaps yes when there was a shortage back when CIC VO went on a strike, but logically now, all VO and CIO are working and I disagree that any VO is just grabbing files in random or non random way: my best guess is that applications are been assigned to officers who are going through them from A to Z, to prevent overlapping their work i.e. preventing two officers from two different VO or one from CIO and another from VO doing the same job e.g. background checks leading to waste of time and effort.

The whole update as rasber said is happening in batches and thats why we may have some coming on weekends. Jaffa, your making an assumption that not all are getting updates on weekends so it cant be a update glitch - can you please define all? you can realize may be few hundred are posting out of thousands - and not all of them are posting updates to state whether they have got an update on weekend or not. To tell you how the notification system is so not synchronized, I accessed my CIC account and it showed the following change - medical exam pass but no email for a full 24 hour, and it was not an isolated incident, shortly in few days the BG changed to not started and until now no CIC update email whats so ever. go figure.

Now to make an intelligent guess about why some applications are been process in a hurry and other are not. May be there are many factors - job offer for example, but I think if I am a CIC and I would like to live up to processing 80% (or most) by 6 month, how can one achieve that, simple, I would scan the applications that I think are not going to be a problem - easy straight forward, and get them in by 6 month - and I have my numbers to prove to everyone the system is working. Some applications, will get in eventually, but might need extra work, e.g. calling a company to see if indeed you have the experience or not ...etc, and they are put on a back-burner for now.

Ok, finally - many of us are confused how ECAS application shows process date prior to sending our actual application with documents online - for example - i created in Jan my profile and ITA was send in March - but the process time is prior March - I guess process time started when they had a look after we were eligible score wise for an ITA and processed to see if indeed we were candidate or not to EE as claimed on our profile prior to sending out an invitation- dont forget our applications were processed prior ITA to see which category we fit in CEC or another category.

Cheers
Well tried, im neither a VO nor an immigration consultant. I guess you're not either. So the point is simple let's agree to disagree each other :) :)

It is at the end of your file submission, in MyCic account you enter your first and last names and say Yes and proceed for payment. Thats what it is.
Hi Jaffa,

Could you please comment on this post.

So just to clarify, one would fill in IMM form, do not sign at the end. Upload the document. And then submit electronically, right?

Second...did you provide RCMP for BOWP?

Sorry many q...just to make sure.

I did not submit my BOWP as I have my WP from LMO, but when I filed my WP online thru MYCIC. Yes, I did not signed any document but filled it out and submitted online via Mycic and signed electronically like we did for eAPR submission by entering our first and last names, then selecting "I Agree" by paying the Application fee. When submitting via MYCIC account, it is ok to sign there.

They did not requested my RCMP at all. I think they might not ask me.

hey folks... I also did not upload a permanent job offer letter from my employer but I was later requested to submit one as I uploaded my job reference letter with lmo instead of permanent job offer in job offer upload section... so I would assume that they just do not reject the application for no reason.... they would ask documents if u have uploaded a wrong document or incomplete documents.....I got request for additional documents thrice.. so have patience.. even if u haven't uploaded ur passport stamped pages....its fine.. but make sure u upload first and the last page....hope it helps.. best of luck everyone...
well,,, I did my landing formalities and waiting for my PR card now...

cheers
thats a really good news...i feel more relax now..

Thank you very much Candy85, I will do it today. Hopefully the senior reps at the TD Bank will be able to help me. Does anyone know if a RRSP from an old job can be used towards proof of fund? It is cashable anytime I want.
A last question regarding passport. I would like to know, if I have to upload my expired passport which contains stamped pages or just my new passport. Thank you very much.

you can find it on CIC website - where they have provided manual for officers who are processing paper - and this manual is also open for public for gaining information perhaps).
Can you please give a link to this manual?

Dear all,

Please advice if anyone encountered a similar message from CIC, I want to say that all those documents were uploaded beforehand:
This letter is about your application for permanent residence in Canada. We have begun processing your
application. To make a decision, we need the following information/documents. There was an issue
opening up these PDF documents:

- Education diplomas/degrees: Education certificate/diploma/degree
This must be received at this office by: 2015/05/11
- Employment records: An original and recent letter of employment indicating the start date, annual
or hourly rate of pay, and regular hours per week
This must be received at this office by: 2015/05/11
- Funds, proof: Proof of funds
This must be received at this office by: 2015/05/11
- Client Information: Receipt of information from client
This must be received at this office by: 2015/05/11
- Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or
longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate
This must be received at this office by: 2015/05/11
Please upload these documents to your MyCIC account.
Please note:
The above information/documents must be received within 7 days from the date of this
correspondence. If this deadline is not met, your application will be assessed based on the information
that was provided with your application and your application could be refused.
If the documents are not already in English or French, all documents must be accompanied by English or
French translations by certified translators. When original documents are requested, you must send
original documents. We do not accept copies signed by notaries.
I have the following questions reg this letter:

1. What issue they might had when opening my PDF documents?
2. Should I simply reupload them, or was there something they didn't like in formating, the way the docs were scanned?
3. Did anyone recieve similar messages? How did you handle the situation?

Use https://www.pdfescape.com for any pdf edits you wnat to do. Also, do not use other pdf softwares except adobe or nitro pdfs. They could be good but not may be for CIC. Check your internet connections as well sometimes your internet connections might not transmit full data. So be careful.
