Unfortunately vfonte's application was rejected after the interview. I've talked with him in PM and he told me that.

By the way, congrats to everyone who received PPR recently!!!

That's horrendous news! I guess that explains why he disappeared from the forum, just wanted to forget about the whole ordeal.

Yes.. quite interested on the reason too. I remembered he said he did a lot of his work as a free lancer, did the officer not accept his experience then? I guess that must have been it... So sorry to hear that!

How about you dhvs, did you order GCMS notes recently too? How is the security section on your? Do you see an S15(1) in there? Or were you the one with S16(1)? My memory is failing me recently.. :(
I only have s.16(1) and it's on the Payment/Fees page.
Wonder what it means...

I think S16(1) is when they involve third parties to verify something, but they don't divulge the third party so S16.1 is there... nothing to worry about I think!

Btw, I've just called CIC in Ottawa (after 3 failed attempts) and - after a 35 min waiting time and a few questions - they refused to give me more details about the application. The attendant said I should call SPVO and also that calling before 6 months (since AOR) is "too early".

Dealing with anxiety here.

Yeap... I get you, but unfortunately that's the normal response... before 6 months your best bet at good information is GCMS notes. Occasionally you can strike gold and get a helpful guy at the IRCC call center.

Calling SPVO is a waste of time... They're a vortex as edson has said earlier!

I have on the top-right corner "s.16(1)(c)" for the page with last Payment details + "ESDC: 0" and the beginning of Associations category, plus the page with Associations ending + beginning for History. Is this a good thing?

Based on my latest notes, I wonder how many notes/weeks away I am from PPR now... :(

Hi,
I have S16(1)c on the exact same page. I wonder what that means for us. Finger crossed for the best and fastest processing.

A question for the PAULISTANOS who got PPR - how does PPR work for those that live in São Paulo? Do we have to send our PPs via mail or can we go to the VO and hand them over?

I had to renew my passport last month and I decided to call immigration just to make sure they received my CSE. After the agent had confirmed receiving the new passport I asked how's my application, if I should worry about something since I was getting close to the 5-month mark. He told me not to worry, that my application was fine. A couple of days later my application started moving and I got PPR 6 days later.

I am not sure if my call to immigration was the little push my application needed so someone would picked up my file after 2 months of hiatus. Anyways, I don't like speculation, I just thought that it was a huge coincidence.

I'm so sorry to hear about VFonte . Hope he is doing better now!

BTW, I got medical requests and RPRF but not PPR?!?! Everyone I've talked about this matter said they got both RPRF and PPR on the same email...Help meee .... I have no hair left due to all the ups and downs of this 3-year-old process (that no one talks about )

Thank you guys for all the help and for all the sharing!

Does anyone know of any Facebook group that talk specifically about FEDERAL part of the process... I know one group CSQ but no knowledge for Federal

So, I've seen a few people get RFPR & PPR at the same time on the EE... But I know very little about paper based applications. In any event you've just crossed the 12 month mark for your application and I understand that you still have another 4 months before the 16 month period is up...

In Feb you told me you're expecting the medical request to come through in April, so it's a month early right? Rejoice!!!

I think your application is on the right track, just have a little more paciente :D

Btw... do you know if GCMS notes also work for paper based applications?

Hi G126,
I know right, medicals in 12 months uh-hu ;D .... Do you know that feeling when things (in this case, the end of the process) are closer the crazier we get?!?!
GCMS notes... I believe they work ja st as well as any other type of process, I just never order them because up to medicals request we were fine with all the waiting and preps.
Best of luck guys! :D
