Guys,

Have any of you tried to contact SPVO to ask questions about your file? If so what email did you use and did you have any luck?

I tried a couple of times, but I just got standard response in return.

SPVO is a Vortex.... I couldn't reach them by phone as well.

No updates folks?

My application has been untouched (at least I haven't noticed any changes on the CIC portal) since early December 16'!

I believe my application is tied to my address, since I've been living in ON for 4 years and I got NS PNP. Wife and I packed or stuff and in a bold move we arrived in Halifax last week, just sent a CSE a couple of days ago with the new address in Nova Scotia. Hopefully this will speed up my process. Fingers crossed!

Hopefully more people in this thread will get good news soon!

Did you order GCMS notes? Do you know your LVO?

I ordered GCMS notes a few days ago for the first time. I believe my LVO is Ottawa

Well I think Ottawa is better than São Paulo so you should be OK! Good luck.

Congratz!!! It's great to hear these news! Was your VO Sao Paulo?

Yes, my VO was Sao Paulo!!! It surprised me as well!

Congrats! Wonderful news! :D
I got e-APR just one day before you, so now I couldn't be more anxious to get PPR as well!

Do you know why it was so fast? Is there a reason for it?
Maybe because this was not your first attempt, or because you are single, or because you didn't get it being processed in SP visa office...?

I really do not know why it was fast! My VO was Sao Paulo, I am married (but no kids) and it was my first attempt ever. I don't even have a tourist visa for Canada. Though, my husband and myself do have 10 year tourist Visa for the USA, which was done recently in 2015.

Not sure how the process works once inside de VO...

Nonetheless the Consulate is definitely taking their time to actually finalize the application and print out the visa. Hope it works out fine and I get it by next week finally. ;D

Guys, just want to thanks you all for the wishes. I'm hoping and cheering for everyone to be getting their PPR quickly as well.

In any case, has anyone used VAC from Rio for any kind of VISA application?

I was wondering if the passport proceeds as follows:
Correios to VAC RJ --> VAC RJ --> Consulate in SP --> VAC RJ --> Correios back to your house

Or is it like this:
Correios to VAC RJ --> VAC RJ --> Consulate in SP --> Correios back to your house

I'm quite disappointed that the VAC and consulate use the same SEDEX we use and charge much more for it. I was thinking it was a private service like the US consulate uses. Anyways, any info on how long this takes and the steps it follows would be appreciated! ;-)

Hey guys.

New applicant here, from São Paulo!

Still learning how to use this forum. I don´t even know how to customise my profile nor how to put the Brazilian flag and signature yet.

I applied under the FSW program with 453 points and received my ITA on Feb 8th, did the upfront medical exam on the 21st and received the AOR on Mar 10th.

I am going with my wife(common-law partner).

Welcome to the forum! You can customize your profile under the tab Profile and then hit Profile Information. Maybe you have to post more often in order to unlock these fixtures.

Just wanna let you guys know that my BG check turned into Progress today for the first time, after 5-months! It's a big relief for us. Hopefully PPR is around the corner

Thank you for replying and congrats on the BG change status. For what I've been reading you should receive PPR in the coming week.

Guys!

It has come to my attention that the PPR may come as an email or message on the MyCIC account... I've seen reports of both here in the forum.

So for you guys that got PPR from SPVO, was it via your MyCIC account or directly via email?

Thanks!
