Thank you all!

Get Pre-arrival help before arriving in Canada and arrive prepared. These services are free ( payed by the Canadian government) Hence the list on IRCC website. Check them out at
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomers/before-services.asp

For general help you can check out http://nextstopcanada.ca/ . It is the only general settlement service for people who are not in Canada yet and you will find it at the end of the IRCC list I just provided for you. But Check the list. See what will be best for you.

Best of luck!

Hi guys.

Just got GCMS notes.

I can see my application was transferred to SAo Paulo on June 8th - from that, nothing happened. São Paulo hasn't touched my application.

Well, that's frustrating.

I am thinking about contacting SPVO to ask some information about my process by email or phone.

You can. I will do so in mid October, as my AOR date is march 29th.

But I have a friend that received PPR in july, with AOR in january - Sao Paulo took almost 5 months to turn his BG in progress...

Maybe thats standard for them.

My AOR is March 14th, so I've been waiting for 195 days. I will wait one or two weeks and will try to get in touch with São Paulo.
SPVO used to process all the applications within 6 months. Unfortunately, now it seems to have several applications past that time. My representative told me that SPVO is facing a lot of cases of fraudulent applications, especially with the reference letters. I believe they are more picky now and that reflects on the overall processing time.

Any movement from brazil this week?

SPVO seems to be deader than dead. It has been a while since I saw a PPR coming from them.

And in general, the situation is worrisome. It amazes me how most people who are waiting for more than 10 months still manage to keep themselves together. I'm afraid that I will lose my mind if I have to wait until next year for an answer. I can imagine that not only my life, but the life of all of us, is on hold while we wait for this decision towards the PPR. We can only hope that October will bring us good news.

We are in the same boat, vfonte: more than 7 months now. I hope we'll hear something soon.

I sent an email to them today and I got the answer bellow:

Please be advised that your case is currently under assessment, and that it is not possible to expedite it at this point. Kindly note that some cases require additional information, and therefore they may fall outside the average processing time published on our website. If additional information is required, we will contact you.

I am in the very same situation. I just turned month 6 today.

Everything is on hold. Jobs, vacations, any purchase, family trips, even going out to dinner as much as we used to is on hold - even my kid's education.

Though.

Hey ajanoni,
Do you mind telling us how you got in touch with them? Did you raise a CSE? Or sent an email directly to them? I raised a CSE one month ago and it took them 10 days to answer.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks ajanoni. I've sent them a message. Let's wait and see. If I get any useful information, I'll let you know.

Great guys. Let us know if you get a reply from SPVO.

I will wait until Wednesday to contact them. Almost reaching 7 months.

I know that lbrambilla and I were asked for further documents related to our work experience, so that's probably the reason for the delay. But what about the rest of you? Did SPVO also ask for new documents from you?
