according to new system launching on Jan 2015, PNP applicants will get higher priority over others, are there anyone know more about Express Entry affecting PNP system?
I have applied for job at BC on 7th July' 14 & will apply for BC PNP after getting job confirmation (hopefully first half of Jan'15)

No Express Entry will not affect PNP...Express Entry is for FSW only not for PNP....PNP will remain same as usual.

thanks 4 ur reply
would u plz take a look at cic.gc.ca about express entry

I would like to highlight the info given on that page
"Provinces and Territories = Key Partners
1.Provincial and territorial (P/T) nominations will continue and grow under the new system.
2.P/Ts will be able to nominate candidates who meet their unique regional labour market needs.
3.When an Express Entry candidate is identified through a PNP, they can be handpicked and quickly invited to apply for permanent residence.
4.CIC will process applications in six months or less."

Express entry will effect all the 4 eligible streams that are currently in place. There will be no eligibility lists or caps.

Hello Members,

I have done B.Tech. (E&C) and presently working as a software engineer, having experience of 8 years and worked 1 year in London and 1 year at Germany. I secured 8.5 in IELTS.

I would like to apply for FSW, but got confused whether shall I wait for Express Entry or will apply under FSW 2014.

Pl share your views. Thanks tone in advance.

I am wondering if I sent my application and got it received before Dec 31 2014 but file number after that date, I would still be under old system or the new one.

This is not possible under new system in your case because under new system initial application is to be submitted online only.

I think it may be good for you to apply now, lots of things will be changed under Express entry and the applicants will not have freedom to apply on their own. This means that, under Express entry, you will first submit your Expression of Interest (EOI) to the same pool together with all applicants, and will be expecting CIC to pick you from this pool base on the requirement at that point in time. People that have nomination from provinces and those that have job offer will have higher priority. This is my understanding about Express entry.

You can wait for the senior bloggers to know their view.

Re: Express Entry and FSW

Hello

It really saddens me the fact that the agency where I applied rejects my application for FSW program because they
requiring me to have at least first degree family in Canada. We have relatives there but that's the cousin of my mother and they don't allow it. Any thoughts about this? and if Express entry soon be mandated next year it will be hard for me. Im a nurse and have limited experience , coz of voluntary system imposed in Philippines. :(

Qualified applicants can expect faster processing times of six months or less when invited to come to Canada in four key economic streams: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, Canadian Experience Class, and a portion of the PNP.

What do they mean by portion, will be there a cap for PNP applicants?!!!!
If you are applying from within for PNP, and Also have a Job, how will they count that?!!!!

This system look like NZ and OZ system, but a lot of stuff are not clear yet, which is scary given is few months away to be implemented!!!

Dear Mr. Yaseen Farooq,

Were you apply job from outside or inside Canada? I am also searching for the job in Canada from Pakistan if you will give me some guidelines or agency address which help me to find job in Canada.

Thanks

I simply think that they will use the new Express Entry only for the "portion" of application related to skilled (and semi skilled) workers and not for other categories such as international graduates (a.e.)... I understood the statement as "portion of the entire program, not portion of applications"...

I am also in dark about "a portion"; It is also true they will not run another parallel system with express entry
are there anyone know more about this?

This is logical; may be this is the meaning of "a portion".
