Hello Everyone, I have a question...I already have my IELTS results in hand but I am thinking to get ECA done only if i get "invitation to apply". This is coz some people told me if an employer invites me then if i apply through PNP i would not require ECA. Its only for FSW, we need to get ECA....!!! is it??....I have HR experience for 2 years, anybody feels i can expect to be invited for this profession?...or is it not in demand and should opt for going on student visa or something??

Thanks

FYI - No matter how u immigrate - ECA - WES etc is mandatory and valid for 2 years

If I were u - I will keep things ready and wait for the ball to roll to my court

not to forget - ielts - valid for 1 year - makes sense to do it in advance though

IELTS also valid for 2 years of the test.

May be I am wrong because of recent changes.

Yes you are right. For PnP ECA is not mandatory but if the province ask for it than you have to provide. If they don't ask than it's not necessary.

You are right. ECA report must not be more than 5 years old at the time of application and 2 years for IELTS report.

ECA at the moment is for the old programs, dont know they might start a new one for the express entry guess we better wait for that time.

ECA was started specifically in preparation for the express entry program. So, I doubt they will change this.

Right, they may add work experience to be assessed from designated agencies. All about business ;)

From CIC site:-

Will skilled immigrants be considered under both the current immigration program rules and Express Entry in 2015?

No. Each application is assessed according to the eligibility requirements and caps in place at the time CIC receives it. In order to be considered for Express Entry, people will have to express interest separately (starting in January 2015) using a new electronic application management system. There will not be any application caps or occupation lists at the launch of Express Entry.

Hi

I am not particularly happy with Express Entry system as its not going to be that easy to get an employer provided the fact that there are already lot of skilled people looking for a job

Now I'm planning to apply for FSW 2014 but my main concern is I can apply only by Nov mid (as I have to complete my IELTS). In that case I would like to know if my application will be taken into consideration before 31st dec 2014 as from Jan 2015 Express Entry will come into picture

Could anyone in this forum please let me know if there are any chances that my application will be rejected when it cross 31st dec? I hope I can apply before Nov 15th

Thanks

It all comes down to what NOC you are applying for. the rate at which some of the NOCs are getting filled up,your chances seem slim. but checkout how many seats have been filled up in your NOC as of now.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp

P.S the number shown on the above page does not indicate applications received until now. it is probably till june/july 2014
Thanks

Thanks for the info sineresto

But if cap is still available then will my application be considered?

my main concern is regarding the time it takes to consider my application into their cap count. it should not cross dec 31st as express entry starts by then
