New info from y ax is for EE2015:-

• No occupation list. Everyone can apply as long as they meet the pass points
• Applications will be in a pool for 12 months and highest scoring applicants will selected from that pool
• Every 2 weeks CIC will select applicants from pool based on points.
• Couple will get more points due to spouse ability.
• Those selected will be invited to apply for Immigration and their case will be processed in 6 months
• Those with a job offer will score extra points
• Allocation for Federal Skilled Workers for fiscal year 2015-16 is expected to be 51000
Economic immigration, which is based on an individual’s skills and experience, presents an opportunity for foreign workers and their families to migrate to Canada through a variety of programs. Of the immigrants to be selected for permanent residence in Canada in 2015, between 169,000 and 185,200 are expected to be economic immigrants.
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) estimates that around 51,000 federal skilled workers will be selected in 2015.

Can anyone here please suggest on how I should be preparing for it, what study material I should be referring and other important things.

There are lots of avenues depending on your current english level, city you stay etc. if you are already good in English just practice online tests and watch videos on you tube. If you are average and / or aiming for a band 7 and above, then join some institute (planet edu is one of them) which coaches for IELTS exams. Don't buy any course material. There are ample available online free of cost.

Please update on any news about express entry as we are planning to apply in the coming jan.my hubby is having 20 years of exp in the engineering field.he s into oil n gas sector.hope t wud be easy to find a job n this category. But wat other preparations need to b done b4 applying?

Does anyone have any idea about Proof Of Funds for Express Entry? Do we still have to satisfy those requirements?

Or is it that we will be invited to apply only if an employer is ready to accept us (thereby waiving the POF requirement?

When you will apply to Express Entry and later on you will be chosen by the employer,
indirectly you can say that you will have a job offer in hand,
Eventually, there will be no need for Proof of Funds. According to CIC former rule that candidates having job offer do not require to show the Proof of Funds.

NOTE:
The above information is totally based on personal opinion.

Currently, there are no updates from CIC for the express entry, but for sure you have to upload these documents along with your e-application. So, make them ready.

Get police clearance in the later stages,
prepare for Marriage Certificate (if Married) & (Get it translated if not in Eng/Fren)
prepare your Birth Certificate (Get it Translated if not in Eng/Fren)

To add, work reference letter is one of the key document which you may have to collect from your past and present employers. Wait for an update from CIC before getting since there is no clarity on NOCs for express entry.

Hello guys, I'm new here.

My application under NOC 2173 was received by CIC on Sept. 15.
I believe there is little chance to catch up with FSWP 2014.
So I will focus the Express Entry which will be launched on Jan, 2015.
Is there any news about 'EE'?

I have applied under NOC2173 and my documents reached the destination on last monday(10th November). I have got to know the Cap for 2173 is over for 2014. Will I get my documents back. I am worried as it will be difficult for me to arrange the documents.

I am also on same boat. NOC 2173, application received on 13th Nov.

I heared that we will get back the application package, so we no need to collect it again. but I am not sure that how many days it will take. some one said, around 2 months.
