Thanks! So if you are without status, is there any way of knowing that this is going to happen?Ponga said:In most cases, the person was in Canada without status and CBSA had requested that CIC expedite their application to reach AIP within 60 days, to avoid removal action.
Not everyone that is without status receives this treatment. They are either left alone, or...the request to CIC isn't completed with 60 days and the person is removed.
Not that I am aware of.tuncan said:Thanks! So if you are without status, is there any way of knowing that this is going to happen?
True, but in most cases, that have been reported here, it has cut the overall Inland processing down by ~ 50%...which is huge!mekima said:It gets only expedited to AIP. After the AIP, its just the normal processing time.
I'd say being a denied refugee claimant, that unlucky person was seriously already on their radar for removal.Ponga said:Here's someone that wasn't so lucky:

Even with an Inland application submitted, he has been told to leave Canada within 30 days.
Agreed, but it doesn't sound like the applicant had been scheduled for a pre-removal meeting BEFORE the Inland application was received...which was suppose to mean that he was NOT removal ready when CIC received the Inland application, right?truesmile said:I'd say being a denied refugee claimant, that unlucky person was seriously already on their radar for removal.
