Since the Canadian CBSA report only captures entries into Canada, I went to the interview with entry/exit records for all the countries in my residency calculation that hadn't stamped my passport during the visits. I wouldn't say doing this is essential, there is often a cost involved and maybe it's overkill, but during my interview the citizenship officer did actually use all of the records to confirm my residency calculation dates. He did jokingly say I was very organized for doing this, but it did make the interview very quick and he said the application was approved at the end of it.

In order to share the knowledge, I thought it would be useful to start a thread on how to get entry/exit records for various countries. Here are three to get you started! I really hope this helps everyone and please contribute if you know the process to get these records for other countries!

Hong Kong
Link: http://www.immd.gov.hk/en/forms/forms/id697.html
Cost: 160 HKD
Notes: Application by mail, response was within a month. Need a bank draft or cheque drawn in HKD

US (I-94)
Link: https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html
Cost: Free
Notes: Web based application, immediate response.

UK
Link: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/286323/sar.pdf
Cost: 10 GBP
Notes: Application by mail, response was within 6 weeks. The form is old as the UK Border Agency is now called the Border Force, but you can still use it to make a "Subject Access" request. There are further details here, under "Make an FOI Request": https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/border-force

Please don't post replies asking if anyone knows how to get documents for a specific country. If your country isn't here, go and do a bit of research and post back what you find. Eileenf's site is a good place to start: http://residencequestionnaire.wordpress.com/records-of-movement/

You can check this and please add to the comments if any have other contact info for how to get Records of Movement from different countries: http://residencequestionnaire.wordpress.com/records-of-movement/

This is a good way to share our knowledge and make things easier for those who come after us. It's a collaboration, so please do what you can to help yourselves and one another.

There is some info for Pakistan in the above link, though please let me know if it works for you. I don't know about UAE, but please let me know what anyone finds out through the embassy or whatever office former foreign workers might be able to contact.

Regarding Germany: I do not believe Schengen countries keep or provide records of movement.

Keep in mind that providing documents that aren't requested by CIC will probably make no difference in your application. I personally don't recommend making the application harder on yourself than it needs to be unless you've got really solid reason to do so. (i.e. having a record of movement on hand for interview if you have an uncancelled work permit in your passport or permanent residence in another country).

for PAKISTAN : for Travel History Record email travel.history@ibms.gov.pk and dir.khi@fia.gov.pk. Include 1) Pakistani passport number, 2) CNIC or NICOP, 3) Father’s name and date of birth, 4) Dates of travel to and from Pakistan
